"Lately I've been listening to a lot of Young Thug when I get ready to go out. I don't know why but I'm maybe the last person to get into rap, which I think I can attribute to my divorce. So I'll put music on, and then I'll pour a pre-going out drink—mezcal on the rocks. Wine was just not working for my skin or body or anything, and mezcal doesn't give you a bad hangover or make you feel bloated. I usually take a shower, too, and I'll wash my hair with Davines Love Shampoo and Ouai Smooth Conditioner. I'm pretty well-maintenanced with it—I just really like to blow out my bangs. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is good, too, for a little grit.

Then I'll use the Lancer Cleanse and Polish and I moisturize with Lancer Nourish. I've learned a lot from going to see Dr. Lancer—especially understanding that I need to moisturize my skin, and letting it dry out so that I don't get zits isn't the way it works. [Laughs] I'm not wearing makeup on airplanes and not falling asleep in my makeup, and I've been letting my skin really sweat. And I haven't been drinking wine. Thank God I'm figuring out my face.

After moisturizer, I put on my makeup—and what I'm wearing usually dictates that. I do subscribe to the idea that you can have only a bold eye or a bold lip, 'cause without makeup on I just have this choppy bang which isn’t particularly welcoming. As a base I use the Amore Pacific Tinted Moisturizer, and I apply it with my fingers. I'll use this Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio. It looks pretty good on, there's a great blush color in there, but I don't really like shimmer that much... I tried highlighter for a second and I was like, 'I don't know what I'm doing.'

On my eyes, I really like the neutral colors from the Urban Decay Naked PaletteNaked and Buck. This Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Honeymoon has such beautiful colors, too. I like to line my eye with the dark purple. Once in awhile I'll take this YSL Couture Palette in Metal Clash [ed note: no longer available] and cover my whole lid with it. I really like pinks on the lid, and then I'll dab a bronze over it. I don't really know what to do with the lavender shade—that's when it kind of starts to look like a bruise.

Oh, I use the Anastasia Dipbrow Gel in Ash Brown, and I'll apply it with the Anastasia Brush. Sometimes I'll use Charlotte Tilbury's Rock n Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil just under my eye on the waterline, and it'll make the whites of my eyes photograph even whiter. This Guerlain Khol Me Kajal, I don't even know how to use it. I imagine there are really cool 70 year-old French women who know how to use it, but I don't. I try sometimes and it looks like I let a child put makeup on me. But I keep it because it seems like a cool thing to have. [Laughs] Then mascara. Chanel Le Volume is my favorite, but I'll use anything.

The other thing I always wear is Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat. It’s rumored to be out of print basically. It’s on Net-a-Porter, so either they bought all the stock, or they’re still making it. I don’t even know how to describe it. You won’t even smell it on yourself and you’ll be at a sushi restaurant and people will have fish in their face and someone will pass me and be like ‘What are you wearing?’. People are chasing me when I'm wearing it. It’s not even like it’s super strong—it's intoxicating but subtle. I’m not one of those Armani guys stinking up the rooms."
