When you work in beauty, you spend hours talking about products: how they smell, how they feel, whether someone stopped you on the street to ask what you’re wearing. But the most interesting conversations are about the ones you loved enough to break a pair of scissors trying to get the last drop (guilty). Welcome to ITG Wrapped, where Glossier HQ—and a few special additions—share the empties so good we shook, scraped, and cut open for more.
The Drugstore Hero
NYX Brow Glue Instant Styler
Used by Veronica McCarthy, Product Marketing at Glossier
“I will forever be a drugstore girl, and this is one of those drugstore buys that just does the job and does it well. It sits on the throne next to the Covergirl BB Cream that I’ve been using since the 8th grade and the Brazen Raisin Outlast Lipstain that I wore to prom and my wedding. It’s no frills; it just makes sure my eyebrows stay in place without looking like I stuck my finger in an outlet—you know the over-laminated look I’m talking about. The neon packaging is as tacky as it is fun, and I have zero repurchase guilt because it’s usually just over $10.”
The Superstar
Marc Jacobs Born Star Eyeshadow
Used by Michael Corbo-Rango, Glossier IT
“It’s been a while since I picked up an eyeshadow and genuinely felt the kind of joy I got from Marc Jacobs’ Serving, a pinky nude packed with dazzling iridescent pearls. The compact—a cute yet bold take on a Mylar balloon—immediately drew me in, but the swatch is what sold me. The cream-to-powder formula packs a serious punch but feels surprisingly lightweight, and the creamy texture glides on beautifully before setting down with a crease-resistant finish. In 2026, makeup should make us feel good, and this one absolutely does.”
The Crowd-Pleaser
Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm
Used by Kaitlin Johns, Glossier E-Comm
“I never leave the house without a tube; one lives in my bag permanently. I use it throughout the day whether my hands are dry or not, just so I can catch a whiff. It smells expensive and indulgent, a little citrusy and herbaceous, and I get compliments every time I pull it out. I genuinely love sharing it—it’s become one of those small, unexpected moments of connection in my day. It’s also my go-to little luxury gift for friends, hosts, whoever, and it never disappoints.”
The Fake It ‘Til You Make It
Beaubble Berry Freckled Pen
Used by Jade Masterson Hally, Glossier Software Engineer
“I hate that foundation erases my freckles—I don’t feel like myself when they’re hidden—so I like to top them up. I’ve probably tried about 10 different pens over the years before landing on this one, and I now stockpile it so I always have a backup in my drawer. The brown ink doesn’t pull too orange. Part of the magic is in the liquid-ball-style applicator—others usually have brushes or felt tips—which makes it so easy to use. Nobody has told me I’m overdoing it on the fake freckles... yet.”
The One That Goes With Everything
Le Labo Another 13
Used by Isabella Patitucci, Glossier PR/Comms
“I picked up a bottle of Another 13 in March, and it’s since become an absolute essential throughout all the seasons. It’s somehow both so subtle that I can barely smell it on my own skin but strong enough that I constantly receive compliments when I wear it. I also love how it lingers on my clothes long after I initially spray it. And it layers really well with other perfumes, too. This summer, I loved layering it with Glossier You Soie for a beachy, salty combo, but now that it’s fall, I’ve switched to layering it with Glossier You Doux for a woodier, muskier, richer vibe.”
The Second Skin
YSL Skin Cushion Foundation
Used by Daise Bedolla, Into The Gloss Editor
“I’m no Mary Phillips, but I’ve been really into underpainting lately. That’s to say, I’ve been applying my concealer, blush, and bronzer underneath my foundation for a more natural look. Doing that gets me halfway to a really natural makeup result. The other half is owed to YSL’s cushion foundation, a super-lightweight but dewy formula that’s so undetectable on my skin that people regularly compliment me on how even my complexion looks. And because the blender is housed in the compact, rather than carrying a liquid foundation bottle and a makeup brush, I can toss the whole thing in my purse and easily reapply if I need a touch-up.
I will admit that I don’t love the idea of constantly dipping the same blender back into the cushion—am I supposed to wash this thing? Throw it out and get a new one? Can I even get a new blender? Where? I don’t know—but I’ll forgive it because the results are that good.”
The Perfect Pink
Chantecaille Cheek Gelée Hydrating Gel-Cream Blush
Used by Annie Gao, Glossier Digital Designer
“As someone with a more neutral-to-cool undertone, I have a hard time finding light pink blushes that don’t veer peachy. Chantecaille’s Happy is perfect. It instantly brightens up my face and adds an imperceptible highlight, too. It’s more liquidy and less pigmented than other cream blushes I’ve tried, but I prefer that consistency because I can blend it out without being too careful or precise.”
The Fixer Upper
Manucurist Active Smooth 00
Used by Louise Rahr, Glossier Product Development
“I’ve been on a journey to heal my nails after endless gel manicures destroyed them, and since picking up Active Smooth 00, I’ve gone from hating painting my nails to wanting to paint them every day. It’s so easy to use that I’m now convinced Manucurist makes the easiest nail polishes out there. The formula strengthens my nails, but it’s the sheer rosy finish that instantly gives me that my-nails-but-better look. I take a bottle with me everywhere.”
The Hail Mary
Horae of Spring Curl Cream
Used by Daise Bedolla, Into The Gloss Editor
“Hairstylists hate to see me coming. I always sit down in their chairs and launch into a rant about how my hair is very fine, sometimes wavy, sometimes curly, frizz-prone, and extremely weather-dependent—if there’s a drop of humidity in the air, forget the blowout. They’re always confused, and I don’t blame them because I am, too. I’ve never quite figured out my hair texture, so I’ve mostly tried to straighten it into submission—spoiler alert: didn’t work.
Then Horae of Spring came into my life. A quarter-size amount of the curl enhancing cream is shockingly hydrating without weighing my hair down or making it greasy. A hairstylist once told me to rub products between my hands as you would a hand cream, so they’re more evenly distributed when you run your hands through your hair. Now after I get out of the shower, I spray my leave-in, comb my cream-coated hands through my hair, scrunch it up a tiny bit, and let it air-dry. The result is bouncy, healthy-looking waves and curls every time. Maybe there’s hope for me after all? Now if I could only control the frizz...”
The Perfect Match
Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder
Used by Penda N’diaye, Glossier Copywriter
“I’m in awe of Danessa Myricks’ innovation time and time again, and her balm-to-powder formula is no different. It’s the perfect primer and base for oily-skin girls like me. I usually dab a bit on my T-zone after applying my sunscreen and before the rest of my makeup. I wear shade 9.5, and the match is unreal.”
