"I moved to New York two years ago. I was like, 'I’m moving to New York City. This is my destiny!' [Laughs] It's a place where you can thrive and be whoever you want to be without anyone looking at you twice. Of course, with makeup, I still keep it very simple. I use Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, always. It’s such a cult product, and I understand why. It’s smooth and it blends in with your skin. I’ll do Nars Soft Matte Concealer right under my eyes–the little pot that everybody loves. And then, I’ll use just a little of Nars Casino Bronzer along my cheekbones and in the hollows of my cheeks. It gives you that sun-kissed glow without being too intense. I also use Nars Orgasm Blush. I like a very matte look. The only time that I’ll go with a little bit of dewiness or shine is with a highlighter. I use the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz all day, every day. I put that on my browbone and then up along my cheekbone. When you catch the light just right, it kind of just glows. I love the Yves Saint Laurent Mascara in the gold tube, and honestly, I bought it because I thought it was best packaging ever. I then fell in love with the mascara, so it was a win-win. It lengthens so well–the before and after is unbelievable. When I put it on, I don’t look like I’m dying anymore.
My skin is combination, so it's tricky to find products that work. That said, the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleanser is so good—I use it morning and night, and it has given my skin a new texture. After using it for a month or two, I realized how smooth my skin had become, and now I don’t even have breakouts anymore. Sometimes I’ll exfoliate with the St. Ive’s Scrub. After I cleanse, I’ll usually do a toner. I use the Context Hydrating Toner, but only at night. It takes that extra layer of makeup off, and it smells amazing–like oranges. Then, I use Glossier Super Pure, which has been my holy grail for the past two months. I think this is why my breakouts have really stopped as well, along with the Aesop. I love that it has zinc and all those other nutrients. Another Holy Grail product is the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. I use it morning and night. I have really bad under eye circles for some reason, and this has made them a lot better. It feels so nice under your eyes and plumps them in a natural way. In the morning, I’ll moisturize with the Aesop Mandarin Hydrating Cream. It’s another product that has helped retexture my skin.
Recently, I started using the Sachajuan Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I use the conditioner only on my ends... They’re really dry and I feel like that’s what kicks them back into shape. Then I use the Ouai Hair Oil–I’m on my last little bit but it’s so, so good. It makes my hair feel so soft. Sometimes, if need a bit more texture, I’ll use the Ouai Wave Spray, just to give it some body and a little bit of shine.
My number one scent is Jo Malone Wild Bluebell. It’s so fresh, like clean laundry with a bit of a floral scent. My boyfriend got it for me for my birthday so it’s our scent. My actual signature scent is Le Labo Santal 33. I know everyone says that, but it's so earthy and light and good. But, of course, my boyfriend can't stand it. Maybe it'll grow on him."
