Haters will try to tell you that fall is not the time for peach lipstick—don't let their negativity drag you down. These are the same people who call Starbucks holiday beverages "basic" and consider candied beets to be appropriate Halloween snacks. They are not reliable characters. You know what is reliable? Peach lipstick, 365 days a year.

It seems counterintuitive to go bright in the lips for fall, but rest assured, it is the correct choice. It helps to pick a peach that skews neutral, like Bobbi Brown's Lip Color in Salmon—one of her 10 original shades, which, hello, are all available in an anniversary set for your gift-giving pleasure. Salmon is just that: a nude-pink only a few swatches away from orange. On Amelia Zadro, the Australian model, pyschology student, and proto It-girl you see above, the color almost passes for her lips. But not quite.

The best part is that peach lipstick is a LOOK any way you slice it, so Amelia finishes with Ilia Mascara and is out the door, embarking on a fall adventure somewhere. It helps that her skin is literally without flaw—which we had to ask about, because obviously: "My mum has always used Jurlique products—the Rosewater Balancing Mist is my favorite thing in the world. I use the Jurlique Balancing Day Care Cream, too, with Bareminerals Complexion Rescue. That's a favorite at the moment." Good lipstick and great skin is the fall look. Groundbreaking!
