"I always love taking moments for myself—I like to take 20 minutes to lay in the bath, with a mask in my hair and a mask on my face. I think I started really caring about my skin when I was modeling, just because we have to wear so much makeup. I don't get facials professionally done, either—I like to do them at home. I find something very calming and therapeutic about treatments at home. I love the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask—I use it with the Black Rose Oil or the Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate. My night cream, which I've used for a long time, is Sisley Supremÿa. It's the perfect amount of moisture, and it's anti-aging, too. I feel like my skin hasn't changed since I started using it. I'm afraid to stop using it, in case my face melts like a candle. [Laughs] My day cream is Sisley, too—All Day All Year.

Right now I'm using Avene Cleanance Gel to wash my face. I like a soapy, foamy cleanser, but I only wash at night, or else it dries me out. Then I apply Sisley Floral Toning Lotion, just as an extra cleaning element. I've been using a lot of Is Clinical lately—I like the Super Serum Advance for day and the Active Serum at night, or Shani Darden's Retinol Reform. I've gotten really good about exfoliating, too—I like Dermalogica's Gentle Cream Exfoliant. You look so shiny and new after you use it! The Juara Invigorating Coffee Scrub is also really nice. It's ground coffee and oil, and it's a body scrub, but I use it on my face. It wakes you up and gives you a nice glow. I love that kind of '70s, glowy look—with the shiny hair and the dewy skin. Yesterday I was googling David Bailey's photos of Jean Shrimpton for references. She was my icon for yesterday.

The makeup I wear is fairly basic. I like the Clé de Peau Concealer for undereye bags or zits. It's just the best concealer. I mean, everyone loves it. And then Chanel Le Volume Mascara. I have these nonexistent, white lashes. I don't curl them. That's usually it—I'm pretty low-maintenance. But if I'm going out to dinner, or to a concert or something, I love doing my makeup. I'll do my brows with Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Blonde, line my eyes with Diorliner, and experiment with smoky eyeshadows. For lips, I'll do a Chanel or Nars red. The Nars Red Square Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is my favorite red, and Chanel Boy is a good neutral. For everyday, though, I like By Terry's Baume de Rose Nutri-Couleur in Cherry Bomb. You just dab it on your cheeks and lips and it gives a little tint.

My hair used to be really healthy, until I started working as an actress. I did American Wedding a long time ago, and they put my hair through so many different shades of red before they finally decided to use a wig. So I wore this wig, but underneath I wore the Kérastase Nutritive Masquintense every day. At the end of the day I'd wash it out, and by the time the movie wrapped, my hair was so healthy again. I've been using the brand for almost 10 years—and I recently started working with them and I'm so flattered and excited to endorse them—I'm the new face of the Nutritive Magistral line, which makes sense because my hair is straight and fine, but also naturally dry. The good thing about it is that it's pretty resilient. The whole Nutritive Magistral line helps.

I'm trying to grow my hair out a little bit—it's been Betty Draper length since 2007. I'm just trimming it regularly, not washing it too much, using lots of hair masks, not coloring my roots—things to protect it so it'll grow out healthier. Tracey Cunningham at Mêche in LA does my highlights. For Mad Men my hair was white-blond, but I'm trying to grow in my roots a little bit more. I don't like doing things that require a lot of maintenance—not a lot of styling products at home, either. I use the Kérastase Resistance Fibre Architecte on flyaways and ends, and it's genius. It makes your hair look really shiny. And I've been using Elnett for 20 years or so. It's just light and it doesn't weigh down my hair.

I am very good about taking my vitamins. [Laughs] I think my dad instilled that in me. I take vitamin C, vitamin B, turmeric, and I take probiotics and enzymes. I make sure my son takes his vitamin C and allergy serum in the morning, too. And I do take Biotin—I'm not sure if it does anything or not, but I started taking it for my nails because I had to wear acrylics for nine years for Mad Men. After we wrapped, I didn't touch them. I just let them breathe for over a year. And I literally got a gel manicure for the first time a month or so ago. I'll either do a classic red or a pinky nude—just something simple."
