This season's fringe, pioneered by the likes of Proenza Schouler, is less Western and just a tad flapper. It's a lot of sophistication, though—consider these the mature clothes you're supposed to be wearing by now, but with more movement. And more fun than the standard white tees and basic black dresses that are stylish 100 percent of the time, but get boring when just about everyone in your office is wearing the same thing. A girl can only take so much basic on a regular basis. Fringe is here to save the day. Trust.
Topshop Fringe T-Shirt Tunic: A clean, straightforward cut is the ideal testing ground to ease into fringe. And for always being ready for a dance floor. Shall we?
Tataborello Ombre Crystal Earrings: Shiny, dangly, but surprisingly not really a “statement earring.” These'll blend in with your hair for a relaxed elegance.
Marc Jacobs Fringed Low Top Sneaker: Like the dressier version of perfect, clean, white Vans.
Torn By Ronny Kobo Phyllis Fringe Skirt: There's no wrong time to buy a miniskirt.
Nomia Fringe Belt: This is a genius item. To be more specific, it's a fringed belt that will transform whatever you're wearing (black jeans, long jersey dress, miniskirt, etc) into a slice of that Proenza dreaminess.
P.S.—There's only a couple of these left, but this skirt's so good. Consider it the #6 that would've been.
