It’s hard to tell from the photos, but this bottle of Giorgio Armani Nail Lacquer in 702 is halfway gone, because it has already been spilled onto the fingers and toes of not one, but three ITG editors. We nearly lined up to paint on this subtle pearlescent polish that’s really so many colors at once. It looks silver—or is it periwinkle?—from afar, then up close (and in shadow) becomes a rose-lilac, reflecting flecks of emerald and pastel-blue in bright light. The rest of Armani's new lacquer collection is equally solid, including stalwart reds, burgundies, nudes, and a few metallics. But 702 makes us feel that at any moment we could reveal to the world that we’re actually mermaids, à la Splash, or Alex Mack.
