While we’re on the subject of dual-usage makeup—whether specifically designed for double-the-fun or not—let's consider the eyes. We’ve been after that moody, vampire-esque (“slightly consumptive,” to quote Amanda Harlech) effect for a while, especially coupled the very editorial, not-entirely-practical glossy lid. But how do we achieve said eye without looking like we’ve contracted pink-eye from our next-door neighbor’s three-year-old? Lipstick! Or, more specifically, Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Richer Raisin. We sort of did it by chance at first, but you know what? It looks cool. With the undertones of red and purple, a quick swipe of the rusty brown stick on your lash lines gives you a slick, somewhat smoky, wearable version of the smoldering runway look. Delevingne-esque? Put the balm in your bag to be ready for a lip or lid touch-up; it’s one less product you have to carry.
