Two things:

1) There's something really chic about only living/dressing in monochrome. It's so simple, so streamlined. It seems sort of like Phoebe Philo would appreciate it, and it would make things a hell of a lot easier in the morning.

2) Scented candles are great: ambiance-providing, room-freshening, glow-giving goodness from a single objet that often looks as good when not in use as when in operation. (Not always the case.)

So, kudos to Calvin Klein's newest ode to minimalist home decor, which comes at you via a pair of fragrant (_ Midnight,_ a smokier, sexier scent , and Dune, filled with jasmine and patchouli) three-wick candles—all the better for admiring you by candlelight, my dears—in low-lying black or white ceramic votives. Baby steps on our way to a streamlined lifestyle?
