“I’m a Brooklyn girl, but in LA I found a new side of myself. In New York I’d call up my friends like, ‘Let’s meet down on the Lower East Side, and go to 15 bars.’ Now I’m like, ‘Let’s go to dinner’ and then I’m good. It allows you to be a bit more reflective and recharge. With what I do I’m always on the go. I’m barely home, you know?

When I get ready to go out at night—whether it’s for work or for fun—I always have something playing in the background. It could be an Afro-beat moment. I’ll play [Black] Coffee, Burna Boy, Jewelz, Starboy, Wizkid—that vibe. Or I could just straight trap it out, with City Girls and some 21 Savage. It’s funny, now that DJ-ing is my career, I go out for leisure a lot less. Going out is fun and easy, but because you’re always interacting with people, it’s also very draining. It’s a lot of energy you’re giving out to get back.

Makeup-wise, I’ve never been a person who does a lot. But I have so much stuff in my bathroom. I look like a bitch who can really beat her face, but I can’t. [Laughs] I love Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation—I do it in two shades, 4N and 4.5N. I’m always in between two colors, especially as the seasons change. I love bronzer. I use this Urban Decay Naked Illuminated in Lit. And then I use the Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette. I use the lighter shade at the top, almost like a highlight. For concealer I use Nars, the radiant creamy one, in Ginger. And then I go for their Radiant Booster when I want a little glow. Everything gets blended with my Beautyblender. To set it all, I don’t use powder, just this Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. I use Tatcha also, but what I really like is their primer. I love that—it feels so nice and soft on your skin.

The most eyeshadow you’re going to get with me is a clear lip gloss that I put on my eyelids. It’s a wet look and it’s really pretty! For my brows, I use Anastasia’s Brow Wiz pencil along with Glossier’s Boy Brow in Clear—I like my eyebrows somewhat bushy and undone. Then I’ll do a lash, a little wispy moment—I’m wearing Ardell Demi Wispies right now. And I use weave glue to put them on because it lasts all night. Since I’m not very good with liner, I always try to play with lashes. Every time I try to do the cat eye—you know, a cat eye for Kitty...—it's always crooked. One side will be perfect and the other side will be like, what happened? It’s hard! People make it look so easy. So, every time I have an event I try to have someone else do my makeup.

I may play with a lip color here and there, but for now I’m doing Dior Lip Addict. It’s sheer, so it’s kind of like your own color. Since my lips are pink, the 001 shade makes them a little more pink. If I want a little sparkle, I go for 009. For more color, I like Nars Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer in At First Sight. And then occasionally I use the Kat Von D bold colors—she has like purple, and orange.

I’m definitely a skincare girl. I feel like once your skin is supple, you don’t have to put on too much makeup. In the mornings, I start off with Glossier’s Milky Jelly, just to get really clean. There are two acids I use next, either Dr. Dennis Gross Universal Daily Peel or Sunday Riley’s Good Genes. I like Sunday Riley’s Tidal Enzyme Cream, too—it’s so good, I’m actually obsessed. Mario Badescu’s Vitamin C Serum is also in the rotation. Then I apply my serum—the Dior Prestige La Micro Huile De Rose Serum. I also use the KNC Undereye Pads, which are good to use on the plane.

For facials, I go to Soma Spa in New York, and Skin Worship in LA. However, recently I got a Barbara Sturm facial. I just love her hyaluronic acid serum, her Glow Drops, and her enzyme cream so much. For the cream, your blood is infused in the formula. I’m sad because I’m all out!

Of course, I also have a lot of masks—I can’t tell you one that I am loyal to, but I am that girl. When I went to Korea, I spent like $300 on just face masks. A few in my rotation are: Esthemax’s 24K Gold, Egyptian Rose, and Super Green peel off masks. Those are good, but you have to do them at home because you have to make the mask. I also like Joanna Vargas’ Euphoria Mask, and La Mer’s Hydrating Facial Mask—especially on the plane. I’m also a big fan of KNC Beauty Collagen Infused Lip Masks, and Patchology Poshpeel for my feet.

At the end of the night, I make sure to take off all my makeup. I once got a facial and the esthetician was like, ‘Your skin is so congested, this is not usual. What’s been going on?’ I felt like she cursed me out without using any curse words! I was like, ‘Well, I’ve been falling asleep with my makeup on...’ So I cut that out. I have a makeup cleanser that I use from Simple, the wipes, or I’ll use witch hazel from Dickinson's. Then I do a face wash. After that I’ll get out my Kiehl’s avocado undereye cream—their classic one, the one everyone is obsessed with. If I really want to focus on my eyes, I’ll put on La Mer Lifting Eye Serum and La Mer Eye Concentrate. And then I’ll do the Dior Prestige Night Crème. Sometimes I’ll top it off with Malin and Goetz Recovery Treatment Oil or Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil. I’ve got to keep it supple, you know! If someone wants to FaceTime, I got to be ready! Don’t go to sleep with the dry skin, now.

I’m a chameleon with hair—I love to have fun with it. Recently, I shaved off all of my hair, just to see if I could do it. And I could! It was really cute. Right now I am wearing a straight, natural dark brown lace front. I love playing with wigs—I have a blue one, a pink one, I have one in every color. Right now I only have 10 or 15 of them. In New York I have one girl, By Bella Evans, and she makes all of my wigs. It’s funny because we argue all the time—I’m like, ‘I want this!’ And she’s like, ‘Well, I made it lighter.’ In LA I’ve been working with Anthony Cherry for my custom wigs. And you have to be good to them. My wigs get deep conditioning treatments every week. I use Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner, and Ouidad Deep Treatment. And then Ouai’s Anti-Frizz Sheets come in handy, and ORS’ Olive Oil Sheen Spray helps keep them shiny and healthy-looking.

The hair underneath my wigs also gets a weekly treatment. I co-wash with As I Am Coconut Cowash or I’ll do an apple cider vinegar rinse. And then most recently I’ve been braiding it weekly, and then I’ll put my wig on top. I use a lot of Carol’s Daughter products for my natural hair—Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Smoothie—and Aveda’s Brilliant Pomade as well. You know that brand Ouai? I’ve been using that—I’m kind of obsessed with it. I’ve been using Ouai Curl Jelly mixed with Carol’s Daughter Leave-In, and braiding it down to a length where I can do cute twists. It’s a process. Oils are important, too. I use black castor oil as a hot oil treatment, Mizani Comfiderm Scalp Oil, and Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. Jane Carter Hair Solution Nourish and Shine is good, too.

For my body, I like the Ouai Rose Oil. It’s bomb! It has a nice rose scent, and it kind of bounces off my perfume. And I use the Herbivore Bath Soak. I use the Rose polish too, but the Coconut one is bomb. Another scrub I use is the Malin and Goetz Peppermint Body Scrub. It’s invigorating, it wakes you up. I’m a sleepy person, especially in the morning. But then you put that on, and it’s like, get up! And then I lotion up with Kiehl's Creme de Corps Milk and Honey, with Tatcha’s Gold Camellia Beauty Oil on top.

My house smells like Ambre Nuit Dior fragrance because I spray it everywhere. It smells so good, and I feel that it’s unisex. That’s actually something I’ve learned about myself—I don’t like notes that are super girly and feminine. I like leather and sandalwood—they’re a little seductive, right? I like that—let me seduce you real quick. I wear Ambre Nuit every day. My grandmother always said, ‘You have to have a scent.’ Ever since then I’ve been committed to that. People text me, ‘Oh, I felt like I smelled you today.’ I love that! Like, ooh, I’m on your mind just through smell? Don’t you just love that power?”
