Well, this was unexpected! A hearty apology to all those who had Dior Lip Glow going all the way this year. (And there were many of you.) It's just not your day. The sheer, color-changing lip tint has many fans—just not enough it seems...
And so the mood heading into the Final Four round of ITG's 2018 March Madness — Battle of the Dupes is a somber one, with that trademark "Huh?" feeling. Nars Orgasm knocked out Dior Lip Glow, yes, but Nivea defeating Differin? Who woulda thought! But that's the beauty of the game, guys. None of this actually makes sense.
Instead of looking backward, let's predict the penultimate match-ups. One feels obvious; one less so:
On the one hand, we've got Nars Orgasm stacked up against hot newcomer Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. Now, normally, ITG's money would be on Orgasm, given its best-of status for the last decade and change. But! Fenty's won all match-ups handily, often with close to 70% (or more) of the Twitter vote. Put your money here. Returns may be low, but at least there will be returns.
In the other corner, there's Nivea Crème (?!?!?) playing Le Labo Santal 33. If you live in any region with a Le Labo counter, you know who's bound to win this one. That said, Nivea's already surprised us all—and several times now. So, who knows.
