Let me tell you something about the ITG team. Anna, Tom, and I are a lot of things (Kind! Well-read! Regular havers of heartburn!), but the thing we are the most of is absolutely, bananas, batshit, crazypants in love with the Diptyque Feu de Bois candle. We've done silly things for this candle (like contemplating sawing the $300, 5-wick, outdoor version of it into three parts so that we could all share it). Currently, we're all burning this one in our own distinct apartments. It's nice to know that even when we're not together, we're still smelling together.
But what happens when we all blow through that 90-hour burn time? This is when you break out your caculator. The slightly larger Feu de Bois nets out at $8.80 per ounce (much better than the standard size, which goes for $9.80 per ounce). A little internet search will turn up this large format baby from Lafco—a stunning $4.19 per ounce for all 15.5 ounces! A steal! And if you're really good, you might know about Muji's best kept secret. I'm not going to do the math for you on that one.
So in the spirit of the holidays—the time of year when you feel the brokest in terms of money and the richest in terms of love—let's dish on the other best beauty dupes. Anyone know the drugstore version of Tom Ford's Cherry Lush? Or maybe Byredo Bal d'Afrique? Sharing is caring.
