One hairstylist I met in high school told me that her busiest time of the year was around the holidays. Apparently, December is everybody's favorite time to change their look. I have no idea why! Emotional stress, maybe? Home for the holidays? Groupon season? I did not follow up on the details because at the time, I was not a beauty journalist. I was just a 15 year-old boy spending all of his grocery store cashier money on haircuts, I guess.

But it's an interesting fact nonetheless. Whatever compels you to get your hair cut around the holidays—the constant bombardment with images of St. Nicholas and his perfect blowout, probably—you're going to need a reference photo for your stylist. If you were to get an all-expense paid makeover tomorrow, whose hair would you try to embody? Which celebrity/model/reality television starlet is giving good hair these days? I'm all ears.
