'My name is Pamela Katz [@pamelakatz] and I live in New York. I work as a freelance fashion assistant and that can mean a lot of different things—on photo shoots, I work as an assistant stylist, occasionally as a model, and I also as an assistant to a consultant at a private label manufacturer. Every day for me is very different but you can usually find me on Bowery.

There is nothing I love more than a girl who gets out of the shower and lets her hair dry naturally. Or the one out at a party who appears to have the least amount of makeup on. She might be wearing bronzer and lip balm and maybe some mascara if she's feeling fancy, but she always looks like herself. I think it is a gift to be able to simply use products like Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream and walk out of the house feeling and looking clean. There's nothing sexier.

I’ve always believed in ‘less is more’ in theory, but not necessarily in practice. Particularly with my hair products—my boyfriend calls it hoarding. Experimenting with new shampoos and conditioners has been a big part of my beauty life in the last few years. I have to say my ultimate favorite products are made by Five Wits, the brand by Joey Silvestera at my neighborhood hair salon Blackstones. I swear by the Moisturizing Cleanser No. 3 and the Hydrating Conditioner No. 3. A little bit of it goes a long way, and it leaves my hair so soft, I can run my fingers through it without knots once it's air-dried. Post-shower I like to use two pumps of the Living Proof Satin Hair Serum, then spray about seven spritzes of It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin, comb my Wet Brush through it and call it a day.

Then I like to moisturize my entire body and face in Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Trader Joe's. Their oil is thinner than most and absorbs better into my skin. Trader Joe's rocks my world when it comes to organic products. In the summer, I also like Clarins' After Sun Moisturizer Ultra Hydrating. It actually prolongs a tan like nothing I have ever used before. As a fair blonde growing up, it was not easy to get tan. Pink, red, rosy, yeah…all of those shades would happen. Bain De Soleil was a major game changer. For some reason, this tanning gel with an SPF 4 has me very bronzed. It skips the first two days of red that I would always have when I try to get tan without it and gets straight to the point.

When I go out for a fancy night, I always start with Dior's Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation. It's good for fairer skin tones like mine. You know the photo apps where you can smooth out your skin? OK, this exists in real life. In this bottle. I use the shade 301-Blond, which works for me as a base foundation and bronzer. Once that dries after a minute, I apply Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna with my Sephora Bronzer Brush depending on the season. Then my Covergirl Lash Blast Length Mascara.

For lips, I have a trick. I use a Revlon Colorstay Liner in Mauve as a lipstick. I start with the edges and then fill in the rest. Then I put some Chapstick over that and I feel ready.

I am also a huge fan of Malin+Goetz Cannabis Perfume Oil. This stuff is intoxicating. I have been harassed by friends and strangers asking what I am wearing on my skin and complimenting me on the scent. I don't like to use the same thing as other people when it comes to perfume. That's your own smell. You're supposed to own that. I try to be secretive about it, but I have come to realize it really smells so different on everyone. It mixes with your natural oils and turns into something else. It's unique, and a little goes a long way.

And one mini product that I almost forgot but would never physically forget is my Nivea Kiss of Olive Oil and Lemon Lip Care. Seriously a very important and loyal sidekick.”
