“It’s my birthday! It’s my first time ever organizing something [on my own]. I always feel like people aren’t going to show up and don’t want to come. Then I’m harassing them like, ‘So are you coming?’ But I think we have a very good list for tonight.

I’m turning 24 and having my dinner at Upland, then I’m doing a party at Never Ever. I picked it because I wanted pizza, I’ll be honest. So, we’re having a pizza party with lots of Polaroids, a bunch of fun stuff, cake, and then at Never Ever I want to have candy all over. Never Ever is right next to Up & Down—it’s a lounge, and there’s no bottle service. Even if you’re Jay Z, you still have to go to the bar and get a drink. My going-out drink is tequila. 1800 is good with 7Up or Sprite. My favorite used to be tequila Red Bull, but I love my life, so I stopped it. Red Bull tastes so good with any alcohol, but it’s so bad for you.

I grew up in Portugal and people there party 'til 7 or 8 in the morning there. My mom would pick me up at 3am when I had a curfew. You go out for a very late dinner, finish around 12:30am, then go to a bar, and then go to a club at 3am. My favorite nights out are the most random ones—when they start at a bowling alley and end up someplace you don’t even know where. Those are my favorite—the most random ones that you don’t plan when you meet up with friends and you’re supposed to do something and end up doing something else. I'll dance, but it depends on the music...

I don’t have any rules about what to wear when I go out. I go through phases. Sometimes I’ll go out in jeans and a top and not even wear heels. Sometimes I want to be more sexy, in a dress and heels. If it’s an event, it’s completely different than going out with my friends. I don’t think I’m wearing heels tonight. I own a lot of Cushnie Et Ochs. Prada makes my favorite shoes. I have sandals from Céline that I love. I have Manolos in black, but I completely ruined them. I wore them a lot.

I only wear foundation when my skin is breaking out—and then it's Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation. My skin used to be perfect because I didn't do anything to it. I only washed it with water! The pollution in New York also makes me break out like crazy. My favorite concealer is Benefit's Boi-ing Concealer. I just have to mix it because my color changes all the time. I just like how it’s not too shiny, but it’s not heavy. The only eyelash curler that works is Shiseido's Eyelash Curler. It’s the only one that fits my eye. Then I use mascara. I go through phases. Now I'm using Urban Decay's Perversion Mascara to lengthen and give volume to my lashes. My favorite eyeshadow to use at night is Sephora Collection's Colorful Eyeshadow in No. 78 Lucky Penny. I can’t find any other one just as good. I love the color—it’s a little golden, a little reddish. It’s very subtle, but it shows up in the right places. When I know what I like, I’ll use it forever. Then I’ll use Too Faced's Bulletproof Brows to fill in my brows. I have a bad habit of pulling at my eyebrows when I’m stressed. I have gaps on the ends, so I need to fill them in. For blush, I’ll use this completely destroyed one from Victoria’s Secret—go figure. It's their Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder, which, by the name, you can tell it's actually a bronzer—I just use it as blush. I love it. Then I’ll put on a highlighter— Luma's Illuminating Highlighter is my favorite. I put it on my cheeks, the bridge of my nose, eyes, and Cupid's bow. And for my lips, I usually always carry around Nars' Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red because it’s very easy to use and reapply. But today, I want to go with this Nars Hardwired Lipstick in Deadly Catch. They used it on me for a shoot the other day and let me keep the lipstick. I love the color.

Most of the time I do my own hair. I have good hair, so I don’t need much. I don’t need a hairdresser to come unless I want something very specific. The last time I used one in February. My hair is not thick at all and is very easy to work with. I just have a lot of it. It’s very easy to maintain. Hairstylists have to use 50 different products because I have so much hair. Less product is better. I’ll put a little hairspray after to give a finished touch, but that’s about it.

Now that I live here, I'm more careful to get home and take my makeup off at the end of the night. I use Bioderma Sensibio H20 but use Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. I follow up with a cleanser from M’lis called Wash Herbal Cleanser. And lately, I’ve been using this Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum. I can’t live without it because my skin gets very dry, and I believe it’s important. Your skin needs the right oil. It kind of resets it. In terms of moisturizer, I just started using Charlotte’s Magic Cream Treat & Transform Moisturiser from Charlotte Tilbury. Depending on the weather, I can also use Chanel's Hydra Beauty Crème Riche as well. For exfoliation, I use Ling's Triple Action Exfoliator. It's recommended to use it once a week. But I feel like if I do it once a week, my skin breaks out, so I try to do it twice a month.”
