' Since I was last on Into The Gloss, a lot has happened. I'm on the cover of the March issue of Teen Vogue with Binx Walton, and my first Vogue cover just came out in Spain. I also became the face of Maybelline, which is very exciting. Actually, tonight I’m hosting the MADE x Maybelline NY Tip-Off Party for the start of New York Fashion Week and NBA All-Star Weekend. It’s cool because it’s bringing the two worlds of fashion and sports together. I love sports—I used to play volleyball really competitively…I went to Junior Olympic qualifiers, and I've ridden horses my whole life.

GOING OUT

Because of my job, it’s really hard for me to plan things out in advance. A lot of the time, I don’t know when I’ll be getting off set. I feel like my friends understand that, so they say, 'Just tell me when you get off, and we’ll figure it out.' If I feel like it’s getting too late, I’ll tell them to have dinner on their own, and they can come over after and watch a movie. You just have to communicate with people—your real friends will understand your life. They know I'm not a bad person if I have to be on set till 1am.

I’m kind of a grandma, so I like cooking for my boyfriend and watching a movie. I cook a lot, actually. I'll make bacon-wrapped asparagus, steak, and pesto pasta with chicken…but we go out to dinner a fair amount too. I love a good night at a restaurant and then just going home and watching CSI[Laughs] . I have my favorite places in New York, and my boyfriend has his favorites in LA. So when we’re together, we want the other one to experience that. Nobu in New York is good for a special date night, but I also love fast food—I need my Big Mac with fries and a Coke at the end of a night. I went on tour with my boyfriend through Europe and McDonald's definitely became a theme as one of the only places we regularly went to eat! We love Barcelona, it's one of the best places to experience nightlife because it's right on the beach with clubs—I can say that because I'm allowed to go out in Barcelona. I might go back on tour with him just to go back to Barcelona.

Once in a while, I do like a party. These days, I usually save it for Fashion Week because a lot of my friends will be out, and I don’t like being at a party where I don’t know anyone. That way, it feels like a better party every night! I’ll always have a double shot of espresso before I go out because my bedtime is typically 10pm. So if I’m staying up past 11, I need a double.

SKINCARE

I think that if you’re going to splurge on something to use at night, it should be the lotion that you use after you wash your face at the end of it all—make it something that will actually take care of your skin. I use Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème Riche, and earlier today I used a SK-II Facial Treatment Mask—I looked like a murderer...it was so cute. [Laughs] I took a selfie and sent it to my friend. I travel like every week, and if I’m going on really long fights, I always take Maybelline’s Clean Express! Makeup Remover Facial Cleansing Towelettes, Chanel's Hydra Beauty Crème Riche, and the Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm . Oh, and I always have a notebook with me. I doodle and write in it.

I love to dab on a fragrance too. My all-time favorite might be Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gioia...and I love Emily DiDonato's work with Armani too, so that may have something to do with it.

HAIR

Usually, I don’t have full hair-and-makeup teams, though that can be really fun. So tonight my hairstylist is using Kérastase products, but I feel when she does it it's different, you know? If I put mousse in my hair, it's going to look the same as the CVS kind, no matter what the brand. I’m not that big on designer hair care—I really don’t care. With stuff like that, I think it doesn’t matter that much. Hairspray is hairspray. If I have time, I’ll straighten my hair or give it a little curl. I love my GHD Classic 1-inch Styler, and I still use the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo and Conditioner. I usually do my hair and makeup in 30 to 45 minutes, and if my hair is dirty, I’ll just put it in a bun or a ponytail. If it’s in a bun, I’ll part it down the middle and do a low bun with a couple pieces in the front coming down. If it’s a ponytail, it’s usually a high ponytail, and I’ll slick it back because that’s easy when you have dirty hair—it looks intentional rather than dirty.

MAKEUP

When I have someone doing my makeup, I usually like to have more fun because they are better at it than I am—for example, tonight we’re going to do a cool, teal cat eye using Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal to go with some of the details on my jumpsuit and the jewelry I'm wearing from Jennifer Meyer. If it’s just me, I do foundation and mascara, and that’s about it—maybe some bronzer, if I’m feeling adventurous. I love the Maybelline Fit Me Bronzer because it gives a really nice, glowing bronze and helps to contour. I have a round face, but I don’t always sculpt my daily look. It gives me more of a mysterious look for the evening. My makeup artist likes to define my brows with Maybelline Brow Drama. We brush up on the part closest to my nose and it's straight after that.

Then, I like to use the matte brown shades from Maybelline The Nudes Palette to shadow my eyes, but without it looking like I’m wearing much. Then, I do a black shadow right on my lash line—or maybe a dark brown. I’d rather do a golden-brown, smoky eye than a black-grey one, and The Nudes Palette has all of the colors I like to use with a couple of added highlighters.

I feel like because I'm the face of Maybelline, I should step up my makeup game. Literally only in this past week I've been trying to do like cooler things, just to try out the different stuff. The other night I broke out of my routine and tried this cat-eye that came back down and looked like a fish hook, and the other night I did just single lashes and a hot pink lip. Oh God, I can't do strip lashes, with the shape of my eye it weighs it down too much and just doesn't work. So individuals it is—if I finally learn how to put them on myself that is! I get inspired by things I see on style blogs and Instagram. I don't think I'll ever be the type of person to be bored on a Sunday and try 10 different things just to take it all off. If I'm wearing that deep purple lip I've been thinking about, it's going to be on a night out.”
