Ophelie is one of those girls you follow on Instagram on a whim because, hey look at her, she's perfect—and then all of a sudden she's everywhere. Everywhere meaning giving travel tips to Vogue.com and starring in a Prada campaign. The French model (if you couldn't tell from her name) can go from fresh-faced chick on the rise to full-on dreamboat glamazon with some very precise strokes of eyeshadow and bronzer. Exhibit A: this Instagram. It's your standard streetstyle Instagram with its own merits—she looks great! But, if you must know the secret to true transformation when it comes to taking photos, get acquainted with a contouring palette. Some blushy bronzer at the very least. Add a fluffy brush and suddenly your cheekbones can cut glass.
'Pat McGrath is so good at contouring. She taught me how to do it, how to be subtle and make it perfect. It takes a lot of work!” Ophelie told us. She pulled out the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate, the standard in the McGrath contouring circles of influence, but mentioned that she struggles when working with creams. As luck would have it, ITG had recently received the Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Contour Powder—basically Shade & Illuminate but obviously not cream. With brush in hand, Ophelie started swooshing away and emerged a completely new, vampy creature of mystery and intrigue. Add some ruddiness to the eyes and the lips (it's not a negative in this case) to really seal the effect.
