We threw a little party last week, celebrating the Glossier launch. Now, a party doesn't need to have a signature drink (or two, for that matter) in order to be appropriately raucous. But it certainly doesn't hurt. So with some help from the guys behind Brookyn restaurant Do or Dine, we proudly served the (appropriately named) Pink One, and The Other One. Recipes as follows:
The Pink One
Inspired by a South Side
2 oz Gordon's gin
3/4 oz lime
3/4 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
1/4 oz Campari
3 sprigs of mint
- Muddle mint into the lime
- Double strain into a shaker and combine the rest of the ingredients
- Shake well with ice
- Strain out over fresh ice into a hi-ball glass
- Garnish with a small bunch of mint leaves and/or a lime wedge
The Other One
Also known as Do or Dine's Lavender Manhattan
2 oz Rittenhouse rye
1 oz Carpano Antica vermouth
1 dash Angostura bitters
2 dashes Scrappy's Lavender bitters
- Stir and serve up, ideally with an orange twist
