First, there were BB creams. Then, CC creams. Now: CC lipsticks. The “CC' in Giorgio Armani's latest line of lipsticks apparently stands for “color' and “care.” Say what you will about cosmetic marketing, but much like “open' and “bar.” those are two words that, when used in conjunction, tend to get our hearts pumping.
Equal parts tint and balm, Armani's Rouge Ecstasy lipsticks impart a buildable veil of color while moisturizing like your favorite Chapstick, in 36 shades ranging from goth-purple (Night Viper), to femme fatale (Teatro), to cloudy, sheer nude (Androgino). They go on smooth and a little glossy, and after about an hour, wear into a matte stain, for a slightly soft-focus look that’s more “ I’ve been sucking on a lollypop backstage at Dior” than “I’m only wearing lip liner.”
