Kiehl’s has a new moisturizer out and this one not only promises to, you know, moisturize your skin, but also alleviate stress. Screw yoga, meditating, and medicating! Is a cream is all you need? Probably not, but for those of us who find the practice of flexibility and core-strength training to be anything but peaceful (and others who find medication a bit too far in the opposite direction), this might be a good place to start the unwinding process, even if just facially.
Made with rosa gallica botanical extract, mannose, and chamomile, the Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator pledges to “reduce visible signs of stress and flare-ups including skin fatigue and redness.” We haven't had enough face time (pun definitely intended) with the cream to feel any changes in our psyche, but have had no complaints otherwise. The fairly lightweight moisturizer does the job without any heavy aroma, and without getting pilly when other creams/foundations/serums/etc. are applied on top. It worked well for Elizabeth's sensitive skin. Plus, isn’t there something so “old-fashioned apothecary” about Kiehl’s packaging? We’ll have to wait and see if the moisturizer delivers on it’s promises about stress relief, but at least we know it will look good on our medicine cabinet shelves.
