Diane Kendal (Nars): The deep-blue eye just felt right for winter—it's glamorous, modern, and strong. We used the Solomon Islands Eye Paint [available Fall 2013], making the graphic shape and then top of that, we used the Outremer Single Eyeshadow. And then we're mixing three shimmer-glitter powders on top: dark bronze on the outer corner, a pinky-bronze from the center to the inner corner, and a little gold in the center. Then, some black cream liner very, very thin along the lashes, and we are brushing up the brows and filling them in. I think it's more modern to not use mascara—the cream liner gives great definition, and by using that very close to the lashes, you actually put a very thin coating on the lashes, like a mascara would. And for the face, we're using the Sex Appeal Blush on the apples of the cheeks and leaving the lips natural, simple.

Odile Gilbert (Kérastase): With the hair, we were trying to create the type of easy chignon that the models are doing when they get out of a show, and then in the front, we had a little bang—but only on one side. It's a two-level haircut, very conceptual, and there’s something cute about it. We wanted it to look like the model is playing with a bang that she wants to try—we didn’t want to hide [the wig] or anything. It's like an accessory, almost. It’s a tiny bob but not on the other side... There’s something very interesting about it.
