A Very ITG Halloween: Madonna

The thing about Gaultier whipping up a Madonna look for his SS13 show was that, well, he was one of the originators of The Madonna look (cone bra!). How very meta. Anyways, if you feel like getting your Material-Girl on, here's our take:

You'll need the lacy dress (so as to flounce around on the ground; we like it in black), a rosary, plus rosary-inspired earrings, choker, and ring (subtlety was never M's strong suit, was it? Be happy we're sparing you cone-boobs) and layer on the bangles. Tie your hair up with a gauzy scarf(you will probably use this to ensnare a dancing partner, or to fling around as you writhe around on the floor), throw on some fishnets and slip into some tall black heels.

Activate those curls with L'Oréal EverStyle Alcohol-Free Curl Activating Mousse and tie 'em up (you can also use the scarf for this), making sure you have a sort of curly forelock falling out of the front. Ideally, this will whip around your face dramatically when you sing “Like a Prayer' or “Like a Virgin.” (Note: This will happen at least twice.) When it comes to your makeup, keep your skin neutral (it's the only thing about this get-up that is) and matte with Laura Mercier's Undercover Pot, dash some Tom Ford Cheek Color in Frantic Pink across the apples of your cheeks, and be bold with your brows: push them to the limit with Anastasia's Brow Wiz in Brunette. Shade your lids from lash to brow with Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Bone and line your eyes heavily with Revlon Colorstay Gel Eyeliner in Charcoal, topping off with heavy helpings of Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara. Now, carefully draw your mole. (We'd put it on the right side, but it's up to you. For tips, look to Dita.) Line your lips with MAC Hey Sailor Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Shore Leave and fill in with Lancôme's 'Rouge in Love Tonight is My Night' Lipstick in Rouge Saint Honore. Then, fake a feud with a pop star and get to expressing yourself. (Or ' Vogue'-ing at the very least. The very least.)
