'Once upon a time, high above Manhattan, lived a Prince and Princess of New York. The Princess was breathtakingly beautiful, and she was adored by her handsome Prince. When she was good, she was very, very good, but when she was bad, she was gorgeous.”

So begins Tom Ford's take on Snow White for Carine Roitfeld's magazine, CR. It's an editorial he wrote and photographed, starring a very dewy Juliet Ingleby and an equally studly Lucho Jacob. Same old story? Not quite. This time around, the poison apple is a nod to ”n/a> by Dior, the Wicked Queen shops at Cartier, and Estée Lauder's Night Repair Serum is credited with keeping the princess “magically luminous.” Of course, Tom ensured that Snow White's pout is perfectly glossed, and that Prince and Princess end up in matching glass coffins, Romeo-and-Juliet-style, to be visited only by their “loyal personal shoppers, who live happily ever after.”
