Somewhere between attention-grabbing beauty looks and ones that require no more than a single product falls makeup artist Sil Bruinsma’s work. A brief scroll through his Instagram and you’re hit with editorials in which his subjects sport anything from vampy matte lipstick to nothing but a sheen of dewy skin. Everything you see is gorgeous; not all of it is realistic for everyday. But hand him a fistful of eyeliners in bright, neon shades and he’ll give you: An extraordinarily livable look. Carefully executed with fresh, pretty skin, it’s a clean take on makeup that’s both exciting and easy to wear.
