Yes, it's been a trend on the runway, but lately I've spied real girls who dip-dye with aplomb—like this jeune fille in Paris. When the hue is applied like highlights, just at the tips, it's more of a temporary accent than an overall commitment à la Charlotte Free, not to mention being much gentler on your hair. Particularly brave blondes could attempt this at home, but for us brunettes out there, the sections need to be lightened before the color is applied. I'll leave that—and piercings—to the pros.
