Let it be known that the New York benefit circuit is a little opaque to those of us who live below 14th St. But if there's one uptown party that's worth getting an invitation to, it's the Guggenheim International Gala. For one thing, art is cool. Sculptures = nice! And for another, Dior hosts, which means the guest list is killer—and people like Banks perform. ITG's invite was lost in the mail yet again this year (we'll see you next year, Dior) but Camille Rowe's wasn't. Before Wednesday's pre-party, the French model and actress invited us to get ready with her. And she wrote this up to share the details:

Dear ITG,

Tonight, we're getting ready for the Guggenheim International Gala pre-party with Dior. I'm excited, but I've also been traveling a lot. I was in New York, then LA, then Paris, then back to New York...maybe not even in that order. It's hard for my skin, particularly around my eyes, so when I'm getting ready, I always start with eye cream. I like the Dior Hydra-Life which is very moisturising and there’s this one by Shiva Rose that I’m obsessed with. That one is super de-puffing and it kind of wakes me up. If that's not enough, I'll do the NuFace or the Illumask for 15 minutes. They depuff you like crazy and make you look human again.

That said, I'm not very into face makeup. I love the texture of my skin and I love my freckles and even if my nose gets a little red, I don't mind so much. The Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick (what a name!) in Ivory is more like a spot concealer than anything else. That's it for skin, so I move on to eyes. First, I do my brows with Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde and brush them up. My eyeshadow is simple, mainly because I don't know what I'm doing. I start with the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Heather Steel, which is a brown. Just smush it in. On top of that I add a little shine with the Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in Blazing. And I do all of this with my finger. Because really, I don't know how to do makeup.

My lashes are super straight, so I curl them a bunch of times with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, then apply Diorshow Mascara, obviously. I try to force myself to close my mouth when I put mascara on. I don’t want to be part of the masses!

The best lip product in the world is something I'm scared is out of production. It's YSL's Kiss-and-Blush in this really muted pinky brown. I'd tell you the shade name but I wore it off the bottle. It's super matte and the best texture. I do my lips and then rub the excess from my lips on my cheeks.

So I'm wearing this short yellow skirt tonight and I have to moisturize my legs for that. One of my favorite things is the Dr. Hauschka Revitalizing Leg and Arm Tonic. It. Smells. So. Good. And it feels cold and tingly all over the body. Like it's revitalizing you, or something. And before I go out, I spray on Poison by Dior. I don't always like to wear perfume—I really like body smells, that's the French in me—but there's something about putting perfume on before you go out that has intention. There's something sexy about it.

The one thing I really want to tell you about though is this app called Radiooooo. These guys from my high school started it and it's a music platform. You click on a country and choose any era between 1900-2010. Then you pick if you want music that's slow, fast, or weird, and it gives you these amazing free playlists that make for really good getting ready mixes. Tonight I'm listening to Indonesia from 1970...it's good to get you in the mood.
