A few weeks ago, we caught Edita as she was running out the door to celebrate the launch of Michael Kors' new Sexy Ruby fragrance. Literally running—we were all definitely late. But the glam deserved to be documented, so here are her fleeting words on the subject. It's a brief After Dark, with a side of adrenaline rush:

“I feel like looking sexy tonight—feminine and glamorous. So I’m wearing my favorite color…red! It’s monochromatic. My toes and fingers are painted red, too. And I’m wearing Sexy Ruby—it’s the new fragrance I’m the face of. It’s a red bottle and also makes me feel quite sexy. It all goes together.

Before I got ready, I took a shower and used a body brush to get rid of dead skin cells. Then, I applied body oil right after, and it is important to make sure the skin is still damp. I like to mix in some olive oil and body oil too—it really makes the skin extremely smooth and healthy feeling for the entire evening. For my face, I like to use a Purity Clean Cleanser from Cosmedix. I then like to follow up with the Pure Enzyme Cranberry Exfoliating Mask. La Defense Urban Protectant Daily Moisturizer is my favorite face cream, and final application.

I didn’t want to do too much makeup—but I wanted it to last, so I started with a primer and a tinted moisturizer to create a nice, even base. That’s also when I use concealer to perfect the skin where I need it. Then I wanted to play with the eyes so I used a cream shadow in a bronze shade followed by a dark brown eyeliner to tight line and give the lash line more intensity. I finished with dark brown powder shadow smudged along the top of the lashes to soften the look. And plenty of mascara. For the rest of the face, I used lots of cream formulas to create a bright, dewy finish. The lip is a very soft, matte nude lip close to my natural lip tone. Plus balm on top.

The eye is smoky so the hair is slick. Just R+Co Trophy Shine + Texture Spray. It has an amazing smell on top of being a great, easy product. Plus Rodin Hair Oil by Bob Recine! Not too slick and still very sexy I think.”
