If you were to explore Glossier's Soho office, you would encounter a few things: roughly 10 Ikea sheepskins, some standing desks, the occassional pug, and lots and lots and lots of beauty products. Like, pencil cups runneth over with hand creams and lip balms. It's a problem or an opportunity, depending on your perspective—ask your neighbor about the cosmetics they bring to work, and you're guaranteed to take away a tip or two. For this exercise, 10 team members emptied out the makeup they brought to work one pre-summer day. Tips were found. So were toothbrushes, half-eaten lipsticks, and a small lifetime of lip balms.

Makeup Bag: Prada Nylon Cosmetic Case
"Most nights of the week I go straight from our office to drinks or dinner so I like to be able to touch up my look at my desk before I head out. The things I always have on hand are some Honest Company Face Wipes, my Sisley Phyto-Lip Twist in Nude which I use on my eyelids, and a Tom Ford Cheek Color in Savage...which I apply with any given brush from our handy-dandy product closet. Gross, germs, I know. And I always make sure that I have a Cherry and Mint Balm Dotcom on hand to go with whatever my vibe is. For my hair, I’ve been keeping this Mason Pearson Nylon Brush for if I’ve worn a bun all day and want to wear it down. I keep a smaller pouch in my makeup bag that holds all of my hair-ties, a compact mirror, and a random assortment of perfume samples that I can spray on before I head out."

Makeup Bag: Patriae Cloth Pouch
"My makeup bag philosophy is simple and mirror-less. The quickest way for me to get ready is to apply some Generation G in Jam on lips and cheeks, with a bit of mascara. The Estée Lauder Little Black Primer has a wax-like consistency that works nicely on hooded eyes, since the inkier ones always offset onto my lids. Some days call for more coverage and I really like the Clé de Peau Concealer. If I want to feel more 'glam,' I skip the lip color and will do a smudgier eyeliner in a softer, brown shade. The ITG crew just introduced me to the Chantecaille Mermaid Eye Color in Triton which is a beautiful neutral—but shimmery—shade plus I can swipe it on my eyelids, mirror-less. I'll put my hair up with a really nice Colette Malouf Leather Pretzel Pony."

Makeup Bag: L.A.M.B. Cosmetic Bag
"I'm all about juicy, dewy skin in the summer, so that's the theme of the products I have on me. In the morning, I apply Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection SPF 50 Lotion mixed with Tom Ford Bronzing Primer. Using my fingertips, I apply the tiniest amount of Chanel Soleil de Tan along the tops of my cheeks and the sides of my nose. Then, a swipe of RMS Eye Polish in Lunar on my lids and brow bone, and Clinique Baby Tint Chubby Stick on my lips and cheeks. I've dubbed Eau de Bonpoint my spring/summer fragrance for years now and haven't ever deviated, so I carry that on me too. At night, after cleansing, I mix dollops of Priming Moisturizer with precisely three drops of Clarins Glow Booster, and apply it on my face, neck, and chest. Basically it's concentrated self-tanner that's totally customizable and I love it even though it kind of smells."

Makeup Bag: Barneys Flannel "Handsome" Dopp Kit
"Smelling good is the single most important thing to me in the summertime. I've always got a full-sized fragrance on me, which some people say is a weird thing to do. Whatever...I still always have Etat Libre d'Orange Fat Electrician on my person. Additionally I keep my Kiehl's Deodorant Cream with me too, so I can re-up around 3pm. I'm not sweating through my clothes on the daily, but it's all precautionary. Lip balm is in there too. I'm between Mint Balm Dotcom and the sweet vanilla goodness of a promotional tube from Kelly Rowland's Chasing Destiny. And undereye gels, because I usually do them at my desk if I'm working late. Skyn Iceland's Hydro Cool ones are the best. Doesn't get any better than them."

Cherie Camacho, Administrative Coordinator

Makeup Bag: Opening Ceremony Double-Zipper Dopp Kit
"I don't apply make up in the morning so I never leave the house without my makeup bag. I'm always running out of the office to an event or meeting. I even keep my desk stocked with my favorite products, just in case! My afternoon 'glow up' routine: Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30, Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in Deep, Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara, Boy Brow in Black and Make Face Gloss. The Face Gloss is for that I didn't just leave my office look. I like to wear it on my eyelids, bridge of my nose, and cheekbones. And if I'm really trying to go for the, 'I'm alive and awake!' look, I'll exfoliate at my desk with the Sunday Riley Good Genes."

Emily Ferber, Editor

Makeup Bag: Truffle Clarity Large Pouch
"My makeup bag philosophy is 'be ready for anything.' Not that I'm always doing exciting things after work, but it's not good to be caught with your pants down, if you catch my drift. You never know who's going to ask you out for spontaneous summer drinks! I like to do skincare at home, so my mobile kit only has makeup—L'Oréal Lumi Cushion for touchups; Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour in a darkish shade for a bit of faux, matte tan; Boy Brow in Brown because it's the only thing I know how to do use for brows; Laura Mercier Kajal D'Orient for a split-second cat eye; and an assortment of red lips to play with. Right now, I like to layer Christian Dior Rouge Dior in 999 over Sephora's Cream Lip Stain in Always Red for a creamy opaque look that doesn't transfer to wine glass rims. I carry perfume—right now it's Splash Orange Amère—only when Brennan tells me to bring my makeup bag to be photographed."

Makeup Bag: Madewell Crystalline Travel Bag
"I'm often going straight from work to something, so it's always nice to be prepared. I've got Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude or YSL Touche Éclat for coverage, and I'll apply with a Beauty Blender. If I'm looking tired I'll put the RMS Living Luminizer on my lids...otherwise I always use it on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. Sometimes I'll do a tiny black cat eye with the Nars Stylo and on my lower lash line I'll use any shade of the Eyeko x Alexa Chung Eyeshadow Sticks for a softer line. For mascara I've used Lancôme for a long time. Right now I've got Définicils. My eyelashes are very straight, too, so a curler is a must. When I'm not applying Balm Dotcom, I love Generation G in Cake. It's a good reddish nude and the only lipstick I can apply without a mirror."

Helen Steed, Creative Director

Makeup Bag: Glossier Pink Pouch
"As a busy working mum, like most of my friends, I like to keep my make up pretty light and easy. I never seem to have enough time so am often applying on the train—the little mirror, a fun Glossier prototype we had made, helps out. I always carry around Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint to reduce my redness and even out my skin tone. My lab sample of Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich comes in handy during the day, too. I use Dior Glow Maximizer to brighten up, especially in the morning or before an evening out. RMS Lip2cheek in Curious is really pretty, so I'll put that on my lips with a little Coconut Balm Dotcom. Brown eyeliner is my favorite. Right now I'm using Charlotte Tilbury's Eye Powder Pencil in Audrey. I like it to look like I’m not really trying too hard, it’s my tomboyish side I guess, so to me makeup application is as much about smudging and reducing as it is about putting it on."

Makeup Bag: Scotch and Soda Makeup Case
"Most of my bag is makeup, but I recently started carrying the Amorepacific Sun Care Stick with me in case I forget to put on sunscreen when I run out in the morning. The Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Bronzer in Capri takes up a ton of space, but I love how versatile the shade range is. The Nars eyeshadow is Dual Intensity—at night, I’ll use it wet. I’m all about Coconut and Cherry Balm Dotcom—I use Coconut throughout the day and on my cuticles, and Cherry when I want some color."

Annie Kreighbaum, Executive Editor

Makeup Bag: Joshu Vela Leather Dopp Kit
"I prefer not to carry extra baggage with me—sometimes I like to leave the house without my cellphone, even, so I rarely bring makeup. But it’s important to smell nice. I don’t get worried if someone notices I have a dark circle or zit, but it freaks me out if I think someone will smell garlic on my breath or summery city body odor. I keep a toothbrush and Marvis Jasmin Mint Toothpaste at my desk. And if I’m going to be somewhere overnight I’ll bring my Tom Ford Noir Deodorant and Byredo Pulp with me in my bag. If I’m going out at night I like to bring a statement lipstick. The case, not the shade. Tom Ford, YSL, Gucci—all acceptable options with super chic packaging. They say, 'I sentimentally carry this ratchet old Coach handbag because it was my mother’s, but I may or may not be able to afford luxury goods.' Obviously the croc Givenchy lipstick does the job."
