'My name is Taylor Warren [@ taylorpwarren] and I live in Brooklyn, New York. I work in the modeling industry, first as a model from age 14, and now I'm transitioning into being a new faces agent at New York Models. Modeling and the fashion industry influence everything about the way I think about beauty. The most important thing that young girls in this business should understand is how to take care of themselves. Looking healthy is the most desirable for me and when I'm looking at my models. Eating well, exercising, and rest don't just affect your measurements but your skin and overall well-being.

My sister and I had such a great time growing up. Our mom was the bomb digs by letting us just go with it. The first phase we went through was the white-eyeliner-with-skinny-brow phase. Maybe there was some lip liner. We'd put on makeup and go rollerskating next to boys on Friday nights in middle school. My sister took the bull by the balls and went for it—all of the beauty phases, all of the hair colors. I stuck to mascara and Lip Smackers.

I don't really remember life before Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. It's not squeaky or shiny or dry. It's just perfect. But when I can't drop that much cash on face wash, I use the Olay Foaming Face Wash. The tube lasts forever. I have a different moisturizer for every season... Embryolisse reminds me of being on set. Weleda Skin Food smells amazing and is perfect if I'm sunburnt or feeling dry and irritated in the winter. My friend gave me a sunscreen from Korea— Hera Sun Mate Leports—that is honestly just amazing. It's a lovely moisturizer that happens to have a really high SPF. It blurs out all of my issues, improves my texture, and gives me an amazing glow...I got so many compliments on my skin when I started using it.

For makeup, I can get ready in under five minutes without a mirror or coffee. I love YSL's All-In-One BB Cream in Clear, and it's probably the most extravagant thing I own. It lasts a super-duper long time. I look like I'm on the verge of death without it. When I run out of that, I get the Garnier BB Cream from Duane Reade. I also love YSL Mascara. Because I was in and out of the airport so much in my modeling days, I did a lot of duty-free shopping. Otherwise, I could never justify purchasing $40 mascara. And if I'm feeling really fancy I will attempt some liquid eye liner, or put on a red lip. I put on a red lip to go to the bodega sometimes. I like YSL red and this e.l.f. Matte Lip Color pencil that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond.

My hair does what it does. The secret to good hair is to wash it once a week. And when I can, getting a blowout is just what it's about. I like Dreamdry and Drybar. Just don't let them use any product and don't touch your hair with oily fingers and it should last a while. Fragrance is such a sweet spot for me, too. Tom Ford Black Orchid is my jam but it's too expensive to keep around all the time. I love Tocca. I have the sampler—it's so tasty and fun. I love Her by Narciso Rodriguez, and also Angel by Thierry Mugler—a model once old me when I was 15 that the scent was “too mature' for me. She was an asshole.

I often develop emotional associations with things and can't bring myself to get rid of anything. I have hand-painted 'Gucci' nails that I bought in Tokyo, and those will stay with me forever. The first time I had fake eyelashes on a shoot when I was 15, I took them out and taped them to a piece of paper. My mom probably still has them somewhere. I also have a Stila Hair Refresher that belonged to a majorly influential woman in my life that has since passed away. I use it once in a blue moon and I get to think of her, and it makes me really happy. I don't even think it works that well, but I can't get rid of it. I will probably give it to her daughter one day.

For me, my most relaxing and fun times are at home with my family, eating. I live next door to my cousin, and we just get together constantly, usually to cook and eat. If I'm not working, I'm cooking, eating, working out or participating in some grandma shit—cats, crafts, crosswords, trivia. Or sleeping. Love clean white sheets that smell like lavender. Nothing more relaxing than that.”
