There’s a little something we say around these parts, and it’s that nothing perks up the face like a BRM. That’s a Bold Red Mouth, folks. And so, on this first day of New York Fashion Week (my first day), I needed a BRM like I needed a triple espresso, which is to say, right away and a lot. The weatherman is predicting 36” of snow between now and tomorrow in what is being called “Superstorm Nemo,” though I think it’s safe to say the original Nemo (the one in the ocean) was a heck of a lot cuter than what NYC is about to look like. This morning, with two shows ahead (Jason Wu and Rag & Bone), I pulled on my trusty black jeans, a navy blue Cos sweater, Nike Dunks, a smattering of gold Catbird rings, and reached for the red. For the next five days, Alessandra and I are partnering with Giorgio Armani to top off our looks with the brand's new creamy, dreamy, feather-light Lip Maestro liquid lipsticks, which you might recall seeing on Esther a couple of months back. Today, I’m wearing the brand’s infamous #400 (a spot-on true red—it’s already a best-seller as a Rouge d’Armani lipstick), the exact same shade I put on Esther, because, wow, did that ever look good. Now let’s just hope my “infinity scarf” doesn’t mess it all up.
