A few thousand of you chimed in on a subject of critical importance—Beautyblender, Dyson Supersonic, Pat McGrath Lip Fetish, or Sunday Riley U.F.O. Which one would you choose? A tough question, but ITG asked last week anyway. And now for the results. With 43 percent of the vote from the combined polls on Twitter and Facebook, Beautyblender wins! A big round of poetic snaps for the 26th man on ITG’s Top 25 team.

So why do you like Beautyblender so much? Could be the sponge’s soft, but not too soft, texture that picks up and transfers makeup with the dexterity of a pro. There’s also the reusability factor to consider, and the sponge’s nimble tip that lets you really work the corners of your face. Lest you forget the round bottom that’s good at reaching everything else. And it’s little and cute, too—good reasons, still!

As for the rest of the Readers' Choice options, Sunday Riley’s U.F.O. landed at 25 percent of the total vote. Admirable, but still second place. Meanwhile Dyson’s quiet blowdryer and Pat McGrath’s luxurious balm, Lip Fetish, followed in a tie, with 16 percent of the total votes, each. Not winners, but definitely not losers. For this year, at least.
