"Hi! I’m Maddie Sensibile (@maddie.sensibile) and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I came from Clique Media Group where I worked at Obsessee, and now I’m the Social Media Manager at Tamara Mellon. For work, I never feel I have to appear overly done, I always want to be myself and natural. But I also approach my skincare and beauty routines based on how I want to feel and who I want to be that particular day. If I want a little more Jane Birkin, I’ll put a peach-y blush on my cheeks, but if I want to channel more Chloë Sevigny, I’ll go for a bright lip.

My skin is constantly changing. Some days it's dry, others it's oily. The products I've been using lately either have targeted treatments or hydrate to lock moisture in so the balance is right. I'm trying to minimize hormonal breakouts and acne scarring by using products that promote cell turnover. I’ve been switching up my serums lately, but a few I consistently use are Glossier Super Bounce for hydration, and Drunk Elephant C-Firma for day time glow. I love how [C-Firma] is an oil-like texture and I’ve noticed it’s helped my acne scars. After that, I’ll layer on Drunk Elephant B-Hydra as another moisture serum—it’s like a gel. Then, I’ll do Youth to the People Superfood Face Cream because it’s perfect [for] combination skin, and it feels like I’m putting fresh greens on my face. The one thing I consistently don’t change in my routine is Glossier Milky Jelly. It’s literally my holy grail.

For any spots on my face, I’ve been using Chanel’s Correcteur Perfection in Beige Clair. Sometimes, I’ll use Chantecaille’s Future Skin Foundation if I want more coverage, and I also love the Nars Charlotte Gainsbourg Hydrating Skin Tint in Light. I kind of go back and forth with those two as my true foundations since the coverage is so light—I just dab and blend. Right now, my favorite blush is Glossier Cloud Paint in Haze because it gives me more of a flushed, cold-weather cheek that I like. I also use MAC’s powder blush in Desert Rose, that’s really nice, and Glossier Haloscope in Topaz over for a little bronze. Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil in 3, plus their Ready, Set, Brow hold my brows in place all day, which I dig. For lips, I like Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Shipshape. It’s the perfect red-orange and is glossy without actually being a lip gloss-perfect for everyday. I remember buying my first orange MAC lipstick in 8th grade, and orange-reds are still my favorite shades to wear.

At night, after I cleanse, I’ll exfoliate with Biologique Recherche P50 W, then once or twice a week I do a mask. My favorite right now is the Drunk Elephant TLC Babyfacial. It is the best product I’ve ever tried—it truly makes my skin so soft and it doesn’t burn at all! If I’m breaking out, I’ll spot treat with Sunday Riley’s U.F.O and then wash off with Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Mask. It definitely cleans up the area of the breakout and removes oil. Another thing is the Lacto Cream from Ruth’s Skincare. After like two days it fixed my hormonal zits. I layer it under my moisturizer if I’m having a really bad breakout. And I’m feeling really zitty, I’ll put on Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturizer because it’s lightweight, but really does help. Lastly is Tata Harper’s Beautifying Facial Oil because it smells like jasmine and actually sinks into my skin instead of leaving a residue, which is so important for me in a product.

I recently cut [my hair] short, and I’ve been loving the Oi Oil from Davines. My routine is basically to wash it everyday with the Davines Love Shampoo, and once a week I use Christophe Robin’s Sea Salt Scrub. It's really drying, so I follow up with a good conditioner on my ends. TBH I’ve messed with my hair SO much. I used to be so obsessed with having the color white-blonde, especially when Hedi Slimane was back with Saint Laurent. I’ve grown it out since then and it’s come really far.

Probably the most 'routine thing' I have is getting my nails done. I go to this salon in Silverlake called Gloss because they do the best gels, and can do glitter or nail art for a good price. I’m also obsessed with this place called The Now on Beverly—it’s a massage place where it’s like $60 for an hour. It’s the perfect thing. But my number one thing to unwind is a facial at Ruth’s Skincare on Melrose. It’s a full spa experience for like $100 bucks. You can’t beat it."
