It’s a fine summer’s day at Glossier HQ, and if you were to take a tiny peek into the stairwell here, you’d catch New Yorkers in white sneakers (or low, sensible heels) jogging between floors, applying lip balm as they go and trying not to spill iced coffee on each other. Before the arrival of the evening’s Golden Hour and the imminent Instagram story reverse camera "I'm off work!" video, makeup bags will be pulled out and eyeliners will be reapplied, hair will be combed, and lipstick will be swiped, all in varying textures and shades. Here's to the makeup bag you bring to the office—the one with the power to change You into You After Dark. Take a peek inside the dopp kits of Glossier HQ (round two!):

Morgan Von Steen, Executive Assistant

I've had most of the same makeup products for the better part of seven years–I even wore them to prom! Most important to me are primers–like this Makeup Forever one–and setting sprays. They make sure the shit on my face stays where it is. My signature is a light contour consisting of Chanel Tan De Soleil, Boy Brow, and a little swipe of Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner with a ton of Benefit They're Real! Mascara. For some added flair, I'll do a purple glitter eyeshadow from this Steven Klein x Nars palette I haul around. That’s to accompany Today’s Drama.

John Kim, UX Designer

I would like to think that if an apocalypse happened, I could go two weeks with a decent skincare routine–because, priorities. My dopp kit includes P50 Lotion and gauze pads to use it with, Glossier Priming Moisturizer, and Elensilia Sun Gel SPF 50+. If I’m leaving work to meet up with friends, I’ll dab on some Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam and spray Le Labo Santal 33 before heading out. The pouch, from my favorite RTH in L.A., has been through a lot, but the leather only gets better with age!

I’ve been carrying more or less the same makeup with me for years now, no matter the occasion or season. My stalwarts are Glossier Boy Brow in Brown, Clé De Peau Concealer in Ivory, Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish pressed powder in Soft Sand and La Mer bronzer. The six (yes, six) shades of virtually indistinguishable brown eyeliner I currently have in my bag include: Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Noir Petrole, Chanel Le Crayon Yeux in Coffee Bean, two Bobbi Brown powders I use as liner, (Black Plum and Smoke, and Nars x Charlotte Gainsbourg in Nuit D’Encre and Cours Du Soir–plus Trish McEvoy High Volume mascara with some Chantecaille eyeshadow in Sel. I use the Serge Lutens Water Lip Color in Chardon and either Glossier Balm Dotcom or Olio e Osso balm in No. 4 on top.

Grace Lee, Accounts Payable Associate

I'm never without Stretch Concealer in Light–it's the first thing I put on after sunscreen! I like to set with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light, and highlight with RMS Living Luminizer. Tarte Amazonian Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess is a good contour and I use Cloud Paint in Beam on the apples of my cheeks. Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette and Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cocoa are my go-tos for eyes, and for brows it’s Shu Uemura Hard Formula in Seal Brown, and Boy Brow in Brown. I mix Generation G in Jam and Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick to give my lips some color!

I carry two mascaras in my pouch: Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama followed by Benefit They’re Real!–one for volume and one for length and separation. My Wet 'n' Wild H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner really lasts, but I bring it in case I need to refresh my usual cat-eye. If I’m meeting up with friends after work, I touch up my foundation’s vulnerable spots with Glossier Stretch Concealer in Deep. I’ve been using Glossier Birthday Balm Dotcom to condition my lips before my choice lip color of the day: either MAC Matte Lipstick in Persistence or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry. After that I'll spritz a bit of Bal D’Afrique, and then head out.

Laura Yeh, Designer

I have allergies year-round, which means my eyes are dry and irritated all day and I'm sneezing constantly. I keep Glossier's Priming Moisturizer with me so I can still look fresh and dewy–it really helps to moisturize and calm redness around my nose so I don't look like Rudolph. I also have two different kinds of eye drops: One is a prescription that I got from my doctor and the other is Rohto Lycee. Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is the best, and I use Glossier's Stretch Concealer in Medium to clean up any smudged mascara and eyeliner. In case I’m going out after work, I keep Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre in New Moon, then whichever lip color I'm feeling: MAC's Cremesheen Lipstick in Shanghai Spice is the perfect "your lips but brighter" look and Nars in Heat Wave is my favorite red for summer.

Samantha Wilson, Community Coordinator

As someone who strives to use as much makeup as possible, it's hard for me to figure out which products I bring with me. Lilah B. makes this really beautiful pebble-shaped bronzer that looks really natural, even in scary fluorescent light. I keep my most trusted eyeliner from Lancôme in this navy shade called Parisian Night close by for post-work activities, and it's an impressive formula IMO–I smudge it, layer and repeat. The star of the show is the love of my life, Tom Ford Soleil Collection Lip Balm in Neotropic, which I'd give everything else in my collection for a lifetime supply of. The final steps are Lancôme Grandiose Mascara and AmorePacific Moisture Bound Facial Mist that smells like spring showers.

I go between two looks so I always have tons of makeup in my bag. Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer in Rich are good because they add coverage to my skin without irritating it. I love a glossy eye, so I use MAC Cosmetic’s Eye Gloss in Pearl Varnish and pair that with lashes courtesy of Milk Makeup. My full coverage look includes Lancôme’s Le Teint Particulier foundation and Hypnose Drama Mascara. I'll contour with this MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Naturally Enhanced, and to wrap I use Boy Brow in Black and alternate between Glossier Lip Gloss and Gen G in Jam or Zip!

Madeleine Angus, Creative Assistant

I don’t always bring my makeup bag out of my apartment, but when I do it’s because I’m going somewhere nicer than the pub after work. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude has been in my makeup bag since high school, and if I need added coverage, it’s Glossier Stretch Concealer. I love mascara, so I use CoverGirl Bombshell with Too Faced Better Than Sex layered on top. I’m always reapplying the Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub, it feels so good and adds the perfect flush of pink. These Rohto Lycee eyedrops that Annie [Kreighbaum] turned me onto are nice after looking at a computer screen all day. My summer day-to-night look is a swipe of this Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadowin 45 Safari on my upper and lower lash lines and a quick smudge with my finger. Any makeup that I can smudge and go is a dream.
