What I get to shoot for ITG ranges from things like two minutes with Candice Swanepoel on an airplane headed to London to two hours with someone like Dr. Patricia Wexler in her art-filled New York home. There aren't many constants, but it is always high octane. I actually like that about it, though—I'll go backstage during NYFW and have such a small time frame with so many big names that I sort of learned to stop having plans and just create stories on my feet. Sometimes I get it all, and sometimes I don't. Every once in a while you ask the wrong question, set a weird vibe, or pick the wrong corner of the room lighting-wise, and sometimes you can't amend that stuff. Thankfully, if I screw up, I can be the only person who knows. You just have to move on. But I like the challenge.

On the other hand, if everything for a shoot is set up perfectly and you have tons of time and it seems like there are a million people relying on you, expectations are higher. You don't just walk away from messing something like that up. So yeah, the pressure is on. Which brings me to two weeks ago when Helen Steed and Annie, Glossier's creative captains of sorts, asked me if I'd shoot the upcoming #nofilterjustglossier campaign for the Priming Moisturizer and Perfecting Skin Tint. My thoughts went from a very humbled— OMG, who me?—to Oh wait...what if I fuck up?

Two days later, six of us were going over the shot list in a gorgeous room at The Standard High Line. We needed light for the shoot—lots and lots of sunlight (best to capture the glow). Now, floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides of the room is wonderful and all, but coupled with the five other people and The Pressure I was talking about, I was sweating to death. But I just kept shooting—I figured out of every 50 photos we'd have something that would work. Twenty-five hundred photos later, there's a very lovely campaign on Glossier.com. I couldn't be prouder. Enjoy some of the shots and let me know what you think!
