In the interest of going braless, looking like Vikki Dougan (the original Jessica Rabbit), and showing some skin in ill-advised winter conditions, let your back come out for fresh air. Not only are these five pieces a little less expected than your cableknit these days ('Oh, hey there jumpsuit...oh, HELLO backless jumpsuit.'), but contrary to popular belief, there are temperature-appropriate options for winter. Yes, you can bring sexy back, and stay warm while doing so.

  1. A.L.C. Reed Strappy Back Jumpsuit: This one-piece looks pulled-together, but it's also ridiculously comfortable, thanks in part to its trouser-fit lower half. Don't forget the ladder-like reverse side.

  2. The Reformation Rae Dress: It's almost frustrating that a simple dress can look this good. Also of note: Black and blue were made for each other. Disregard the haters.

  3. Sea Eyelet-Back Denim Shirt-Jacket: This piece is part-jacket and part-eyelet that's more mesh in shape and less running-through-fields-of-daisies-in-the-summertime.

  4. Dion Lee Open-Back Metallic Knitted Sweater: What Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy would wear if she was feeling slightly showy. Only slightly.

  5. Zara Backless Jumpsuit: Wear this when you want to feel like a tall drink of deep, blue water. Just add simple heels, whether kitten or full-throttle. Hydration—it feels good.
