If you're a regular reader, you are probably well-acquainted with our weekly Model In Makeup posts. We've got a pretty standard formula: model comes in; we chat; we play with products; beautiful pictures ensue. It's a lot of fun, really. But sometimes you get a subject who's so pro, they do it themselves. Take Chiharu: The Japanese model floated in wearing what might be the most perfect pair of wide-leg trousers ever to be created. On her nails, a manicure we can't stop thinking about a week later. She then proceeded to do her own makeup. Yes, you're read that right. This girl's got things to teach, clearly. Read on:

'I love beauty stuff. Every time I'm back in Japan, I stock up on a bunch of products. Everything there right now is about pink cheeks and long lashes. Now that I'm growing my hair out, I'm playing around more with makeup. A few years back, I had it cut really short with these intense bangs. There was so much upkeep, and my face already looked so strong that I didn't need makeup.

I actually worry about what I look like a lot more now that street style is such a huge thing. I mean, I think it's really nice, but I do feel like I have to wear something amazing every time. Right now, I'm wearing a Topshop sweater with Acne Studios pants and Pertini shoes I bought on the street in Tokyo. I saw them and loved their color. A lot of my clothing is neutral, but I always wear really colorful shoes. I have so many pairs piled in my closet and underneath my bed.”
