GUYS, we made a thing!!!

I am so excited.

Four score and a couple years ago, we contacted Warby Parker (eyewear innovators, startup idols, downtown dads) and asked if we could do a collaboration of aviators. I have long been of the mindset that aviators are like leather jackets—when they're perfect, they give you “instant cool.” They're the Alexa Chung of sunglasses. More effective in shifting one's total look from meh to yeah! at a moment's notice than even, dare I say it, a bold red mouth.

Mr. Axelrod, meanwhile, had his own mission: create a pair of aviator-inspired optical frames. Many have tried; few have managed to design a pair that don't totally overwhelm the face or scream “NINETEEN SEVENTY EIGHT.”. We think these are spot on: unisex, subtle, sophisticated, and just a touch retro in the very best way possible. Not your uncle's glasses.

The limited-edition collection—two styles, two colors; lovingly handcrafted over many bagel-laden meetings and fittings—have just dropped over at WarbyParker.com and will be available while supplies last. Once you get yours, Instagram a pic with #WarbyxITG so we can see them in action :)
