Start typing the name of any rockstar into Google, and the predictive search will automatically tack on his girlfriend's name (if not simply the term "girlfriend"), which proves we're all pretty curious about the topic. Why? Well, for one, we want to put a face with the supposed inspirations behind our favorite songs. Like Nirvana's "About a Girl." Which girl, exactly? And who did Mick have under his thumb? "There She Goes"—are you referring to Kate, Mr. Doherty? ...or me? Because there's no denying that bit of fangirl possessiveness, which makes you want want to know, 'If not me, then who?' It says something about the magic of these women that—out of the masses at any given show, the women mobbing the hotels, hounding for photos and autographs or anything they could get their hands on—they were the ones who obtained a special spot in the hearts of modern-day demigods. And yes, many of them happen to be wildly successful and astonishingly attractive models. Go figure.
