Apparently Models Prefer To Pluck

Marc-Jacobs-Boobs

Word on the street is that the models for Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2014 collection groomed their nipples pre-show in anticipation of the sheer tops. The depilatory of choice? Plucking. (We’ve heard that somewhere before…)

so happy to see a beauty website write about this. can we talk about happy trails too please?

    • murt

I don't remove my happy trail - actually i have very fine hair everywhere which I don't remove. Nobody has every complained about it.

I do pluck my nipples though.

YES! I recalled that from the Dita Von Teese piece.

I genuinely don't understand this. Is it hair on the actual nipple/areola or on the rest of the boob?

Hmmm.... ever seen a guy with hairs around his nipples?! Even guys without hairy chests tend to have at least a few "stray" hairs around their nipples, and women get them too.. however they are usually shorter and less curly!

i had laser hair removal on my nipples... best decision ever

Plucking may cause ingrown hairs as the skin there is so delicate. I know, I have a scar :-)

Ah, can we please discuss body hair? I swear mine grew in longer and thicker after I used Viviscal for two months and it never went away. Do I pluck? Wax? Bleach? Seriously, I need confirmation that I'm not the only one who get self-conscious about this.

  • wilsonq

Well, I think it's only normal you do that, right? Who wants to see a hair or foreign object sticking out when your nipples are on display (artistically). I as a man do that too.

  • Elle m

No to the joy of ingrown hairs.

ITG needs to do an article on sugaring - the ultimate in natural hair removal!

YAY! I don`t have nipple hairs...(or any chest hair to speak of).
