They’re baaaaaack. Givenchy’s holiday collection includes four new, awesomely packaged Le Rouge Sensuously Matte Lipsticks. Only this time, the high-pigment lip colors are encased in metallic-leather tubes—with a patina not unlike the bejeweled masks Riccardo Tisci and Pat McGrath dreamed up for his Spring 2014 show.

In opaque shades that run the gamut from moody merlot-stained Violine Précieux (the ideal berry for replicating Prada’s 2013 wine lips) and burnt-sienna Rouge d’Exception, to tawny-pink Rose Précieux and blush-nude Rose d’Exception (be your own Anna Karina), the creamy lipsticks glide right on without tugging at your lips, drying into a near matte finish within about an hour. And we already know where we'll store the gunmetal and bronze tubes: right next to the black-leather-cased Le Rouge in Fuchsia Irrésistible that continues to get star billing on our desk.
