Clinique Chubby Stick in Richer Raisin

While we’re on the subject of dual-usage makeup—whether specifically designed for double-the-fun or not—let's consider the eyes. We’ve been after that moody, vampire-esque ("slightly consumptive," to quote Amanda Harlech) effect for a while, especially coupled the very editorial, not-entirely-practical glossy lid. But how do we achieve said eye without looking like we’ve contracted pink-eye from our next-door neighbor’s three-year-old? Lipstick! Or, more specifically, Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Richer Raisin. We sort of did it by chance at first, but you know what? It looks cool. With the undertones of red and purple, a quick swipe of the rusty brown stick on your lash lines gives you a slick, somewhat smoky, wearable version of the smoldering runway look. Delevingne-esque? Put the balm in your bag to be ready for a lip or lid touch-up; it’s one less product you have to carry.

Great suggestion, and why not, the less we have to carry around, the better :o). Xx

Not sure why anyone wants anything with a red tint near the eyes. Absolutely naked eyes look better and I am not a fan of naked eyes.

To keep that kind of thing on all day, I always do a base of foundation and a tap of baby powder. Works like a charm!

I personally think it's cool to use red tones around eyes! Especially when it gets cold outside. It makes you looks somber and teary eye pretty ;)

To be a little Debbie Downer here, just make sure the dyes in your lip product are FDA approved to be used in the eye area. If not, you risk irritation. And make sure to disinfect any lip product with alcohol before you put it near your eyes.

Perfect! I've been on 5-hr sleep per day for months thanks to school. This will make me look like an actual zombie! Weee!

Love Chubby Sticks, but I prefer it on my lips then on my lids.
I also love Clinique's Butter Shine Lipstick in Perfect Plum, gives a nice sheen without being too heavy. Saks also has a gift with purchase for Clinique on at the moment too!
