Popping up everywhere (editorials, ads, our dreams...) but stores is Fall's first signature accessory: Céline's austere and modern chokers. With the necklace version of your '90s captive-bead belly button ring, Pheobe Philo has literally laid a green or black ball on the pulse of how you want to look. Just take a glimpse at every major magazine’s fall fashion coverage. W?  Check. Harper’s Bazaar? Check. Vogue, both UK and China? Check—and for the latter it's on the cover of the 8th anniversary issue—a very auspicious number. It even gets star billing in Céline's latest ad campaign.  And, unlike spring’s louche fur slippers, we're not having a should-we-or-shouldn't-we conundrum. We should. And we will. Shipments are due in September, and the gold and silver throat grazers will retail for an ice-cold $730, so put your local Céline store on speed dial. We’re anticipating a Repossi-cuff/Delettrez-earring/Catbird-knuckle-ring kind of reaction.

    What an interesting design- looks like it's popping up everywhere! I was a huge sucker for the choker trend back in grade school (mid-'90s); maybe I'll have to fall for it again :)

    Chic and minimalist, very Celine. I wonder how long it'll take before it's copied ad nauseam by other designers the same way the "Wings" bag was copied.

    I love chokers! Not sure if I'm loving the Celine version though...looks a bit uncomfortable and takes away from the delicacy of the neck...
