Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment

Look into the bag of any self-proclaimed “lip balm junkie” and you’ll likely find a tube of Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment. The all-weather nourisher has become a staple for its ability to quench parched lips, protect them from the sun (hey, SPF), impart a velvety finish, and add, depending on the shade, a little color to your mouth (and/or cheekbones).

We’ll be incorporating the brand's latest release, Cherrya blueish-red tint that shares the same grapeseed/sugar formula and black-currant scent as the othersinto our arsenal (which includes, but is not limited to, tawny Honey, depth-enhancing Plum, sunny Coral, pink Rosé, and Original). This one makes your lips looks like you've been snacking on strawberries, or, applied to cheeks, like you've been pleasantly wind-whipped. Other fans of the Sugar Lip Treatment? Restaurateur Kerry Diamond, Christina Huffington, filmmaker Ry Russo Young, and journalist Alexandra Golovanoff, who deemed it “the perfect lip conditioner." There you have it.

    Must have, must have....

I love the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments. I currently own a mini of the shade Rosé. I'd love to get my hands on the shade Coral too but they're quite pricey so I'll have to wait until I have a little extra money for them. :)

I just picked this up a couple days ago and it's lovely! Much much more pigmented than the other tinted versions, so a lighter hand is needed. I love that it makes my lips look like I've just finished a red popsicle -- sort of like a more grown up version of my all time fave, Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers.

This website needs more shout outs to Dr Pepper Lip Smackers. Amen.

This product is probably the BEST of its kind. However, I do agree that it should be in a pot. Living in Florida, the hot weather does not do well for the easily broken/ smooshed stick. Nonetheless, I will take it in whatever form it exists. This is a must have product !

    • Alex

Agreed. I love everything about it, but it really should come in a pot - and I live in Seattle.

    • Lana

YAY just ordered mine in Cherry today! Little girl at a candy store type of excited :')

  • Janine

I have to check out the Cherry. I have the Plum (because I love popsicle lips) but, it's funny. When I wear it, I have this odd-smell feeling. I think it's, what, lemony scented? But I think it's just sort of...funky. No one ever mentions it, so it must be me.

    • lena

Totally get the same feeling. I actually had to stop using it because the smell became really cloying and off-putting to me. Couldn't wait to wash it off my mouth!

I have it in Passion, and I agree, I've always found the smell to be a bit odd. Not enough to turn me off it, but I recently managed to put my finger on what was up with it: it smells exactly like the lemon-scented playdoh I had, and probably attempted to eat, when I was little.

i've heard a lot of good things about these fresh lip balms. will definitely try it out.

Fresh Sugar is one of the greatest beauty discoveries of my life. I'm forever grateful to Sephora who gave me a mini pack with the original and Rose around my birthday. I was hooked from the first try.

I am a total lip balm addict, as evidenced here:

and I absolutely LOVE the fresh lip treatment. My favorite color is rose, though cherry sounds like it's going to be pretty amazing. As long as it smells like the others and not like fake cherry. That would pretty much kill it for me.

Just be aware that these turn into liquid if you even think about a sunny day. I had to stop buying them because they would be ruined in two weeks. Half of the time the testers are melting just from the lights in Sephora.

I'm a huge fan of these, and as long as it's not cherry flavored (hate it), I'm game!

dommage qu'on ne le trouve pas en France :(

I have the Original and Rose (and absolutely love them), but I had no idea they made a Cherry tint! Will definitely pick this up!

  • Kate

I do enjoy the look and feel of these, especially the rose one, but not the price or the lack of UVA protection (aging rays)

  • Tiffany

    Need this!!

Yes! I own all except cherry and adore them. Must snap up cherry soon. The plum looks really good on people with pale skin and small lips, btw (not me, but it's the only dark color my friend who fits that description can wear).

  • Tess

Ahhh! I really want this, this looks so gorgeous <3

snagged myself a tube of this and it's the perfect shade (for me, at least, as i've found the other fresh balms to be). it smells just like all the previous iterations, for those wondering.

*sigh* No picture of how it looks on someone, ITG? I actually have the Cherry mini in a set from Sephora and I hate how it looks on me, even though I'm not normally someone who shies away from bold lip colors. I would have liked to see the application on someone else.
