First arriving on the scene a casual fifty-one years ago as the frontman of The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger and his comrade-in-arms, Keith Richards, became staples of nightlife as lady-loving (sometimes womanizing) ‘gents. Jagger ascended to rock ‘n’ roll couple royalty for the first time with doe-eyed crooner Marianne Faithfull, then again with his first wife, the accessories-adept Bianca Jagger, and a third time with second wife (and mother of four of his seven children), Jerry Hall (and possibly again with Richard’s famed lady-love, Anita Pallenberg, though she maintains a strong “no” on that subject). And while his love life wasn't always the smoothest—albeit full of glamorous and beautiful women, most recently L'Wren Scott—and his fashion choices questionable at times, his ability to crank out chart-worthy singles and albums has yet to fade even in his escalating age (last November’s hit, Doom and Gloom, peaked at 61).
Mick Jagger is the original mic-slinging lady-killer. He’s the dude our dads wished they could be (and our moms wished they could be with—yes, we went there!!). He is the standard against which all aspiring rock gods will forever be judged (ahem, Adam Levine). And, on Friday, he will be 70 (!!!!) years old. So, to honor this beautiful gift of a man and provide a bit of "Satisfaction" to our longing for those bygone days of luscious lips and crazy hip moves—not that they're really gone...man still can dance; just check out a L'Wren Scott after-party—we present sixty-one photos of Mick, his lovers, and his friends. Enjoy.
