Oh Edie, you’re such a chameleon! No, not you Miss Sedgwick, though we do love your work, but the new Edie on the scene: model-of-the-minute Edie Campbell. The Brit is becoming—dare we say it?—the new Cara Delevingne of the fashion world, similarly getting her big break in a Burberry ad (alongside a serious ITG fave, Kate Moss). And while she appears in the pages of LOVE's spring-summer issue with long curly locks, she is rocking (pun somewhat intended) a whole new look for Vogue Italia’s April 2013 cover story, shot by Steven Meisel.
Let's call it ‘60s with an edge—a bit ‘80s rocker—which provides a nice contrast to the crisp, structured, soft white and cream ensembles. And Guido's Joan Jett-style 'do (à la the hair at Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton fall 2013) has us considering some steep snips with the scissors. Well, kind of. As for Pat McGrath's attention to the eye (painting it in white-ish-silver cream shadow or an exaggerated black wing)? It's probably best left to the professionals and models in European magazines...not your—or our—weekend activities. But a girl can dream.
