Khushi is, according to the brand's website, “all about pure and simple.” Khushi also happens to sound like a brightly colored toy designed for toddlers, but it’s actually a small line of great-smelling and hard-working bath products that use only natural, basic ingredients, hand-crafted—seriously, mixed by hand— by New York native Nicki Francis. (BTW: “Khushi” is Hindi for “Happiness.” We stumbled upon the line at Euphoria Spa in Tribeca.) The Healing Balm is particularly special—it's a seriously thick, tangerine-hued unguent that helps seriously dry skin (especially legs, which tend to get so dry they itch this time of year, which is pretty much the worst and must have something to do with shaving + cold weather) made of good-for-you ingredients such as shea butter, olive oil, calendula, sweet almond oil, geranium, and lavender. The whole mess is thick and goopy and you warm it up in your hands and slather it all over yourself for a long-lasting, all-over-hydrating effect that leaves a decent glow later on in the day, if you plan to brave the climes and go bare-legged. It’s like Egyptian Magic by way of Lower Manhattan—regular rub-downs highly recommended.
