I can honestly say I love both. My natural colour is a faded deep warm brown with reddish gold, but when I bleached it blonde and then had to dye it a darker colour for my traditional wedding ceremony, I couldn't decide which I liked better! When I dyed it a really dark brown, darker than my natural colour, it looked so defined and striking, but now that I'm back to my silver-blonde, I love the lightness it brings to my face! Since I found out that I was too sensitive to wear makeup I stopped wearing it and with only curled lashes and lip balm, blonde makes my features stand out more, so that is a definite plus!

I agree with many of the comments below. I find I'm underwhelmed by the flocks of dyed blonde hair that look neither natural nor statement. I'm a natural ash-blonde myself and I've always envied the exotic look I feel comes with being brunette.

I've got the white-blonde Blondie thing going on right now. I'm lucky that I have a really awesome colorist and was willing to experiment to find the exact right products to take it as platinumy as possible. For me it's a good strong bleach, then followed by a custom mix of silver and white toners to remove any brassiness left over. Also, washing with purple shampoo is a must!
