Sesha ReNu Exfoliating Gel

Renu Exfoliating Gel, Sesha Skin Therapy

There’s something therapeutic about exfoliation; you’re getting rid of the dead, the bad, the excess.

Only problem: sometimes the nearest exfoliating scrub uses grains that are too rough, chemicals that are too strong, or an acid you don’t really want for your delicate face. Well, look what the Harvard- and MIT-educated scientist Dr. Dean Hsieh dragged in! Sesha’s award-winning ReNu Exfoliating Gel uses aloe, lemon, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and ginseng along with papaya enzymes to gently remove dead cells and unclog pores. The best part? No water required (at least initially)! Massage the gel in small, circular motions on your face with the tips of your fingers; the potion bonds with dead skin cells, resulting in what looks like a pilling sweater—except instead of sweater fuzz, it's dead skin cells—exactly what you don’t want chilling on top of your skin. Rinse that off with cool water and you're well on your way to fresh, clean, softer, and clearer skin.

SCIENCE! What will they think of next?

so i guess it's the papaya (fruit acid) that acts as the exfoliator?

This has been around for quite a while in Japan. Check out Ginvera green tea marvel gel. Massage it on your face and you'll get an almost identical effect.

This has been out forever in Japan, and (slightly later in the game) Korea. Check out one of the fastest selling cosmetics in Japan, Cure Aqua Peeling Gel. It's unscented and without all the additives in the ReNu version.... plus, it goes for about $40 for eight ounces of product!

Yes I have to agree, I've had the Japanese exfoliator on my beauty wishlist for months now. It does exactly the same thing. Still fascinating!!

I use one by envie de neuf (their website online is a bit sketchy, but they are fairly well known in Asia), and it is great. Effective, yet gentle.

Japan has a great gel, Cure Natural Aqua Gel, that works the same way.

    Natural. Resourceful. Beauty: http://www.nibella.net
