Agne Norvilaite, Floor Assistant Manager, Dover Street Market

“I’m from Lithuania; I’ve lived in London for three years. I found out about Dover Street Market from a magazine, and I just really liked this one day, I walked in and asked for a job! I like a clean look—simple, black, white, easy, comfortable. And I keep my beauty look really simple, to be honest. Don’t wear lots of makeup. Now, my new look is to keep a lipstick on and not have eye makeup on whatsoever. I don’t like to remove mascara—it’s very annoying in the evening. It’s too time consuming! [Laughs] But when my eyes are very nude, I have to emphasize my lips. The only other makeup I wear is foundation—Diorskin Nude. It looks natural. This lipcolor? I can check for you, if you want. OK, so it’s Burberry, #17 Union Red. It’s my favorite right now. I like how they brand the actual lipstick. Before this one, I loved this other one—I was just talking to my colleague about it, saying it was the first lipstick I actually finished—it wasn’t red, it was purple-ish: Dior Addict Extreme #987 Black Tie. I remember I saw it in a magazine, I loved it, and I bought it. I think it was Vogue? Yeah, British Vogue.”

Whoa - Agne is a vision! The textured Burberry is a hoot.

I have a few burberry lipsticks myself and they feel so luxurious it's ridiculous. They also go on crazy velvety smooth, but my one complaint is they don't seem to last AT ALL. Anyone else find this to be true? I hardly ever wear the ones I have because I hate having to constantly reapply!

I don't know about Burberry lipstick, but alternatively you could try Armani's Rouge d'Armani line. I have bought their reds over and over again because they feel so creamy, yet stay on very well.

Funny, I just saw her today! she was helping me, she was awesome, I thought she had a great look.

I should totally try and go at least a day without eye makeup. I believe it would be quite the challenge for me because I am so obsessed with mascara! My eyes are my best feature, so I like to really make them pop, but I think it would be really nice to try something different! On another note, I absolutely love the colour of the lipstick she is wearing!

      I second that!

Her look is so right for everyday - clean and simple! I can totally identify with not wanting to remove mascara in the evening. Even though it is a favorite components of my makeup routine, it is a pain in the ass to get off! I've been especially frustrated by my Dior New Look mascara - it just won't come off without an uncomfortable amount of rubbing and tugging. Time to switch. Anyway, Agne pulls of the bare eye look very nicely with her baby blues and beautiful brows. I liked this very real, down to earth post!

Really? Mascara is my least favorite part of my routine. It takes some getting used to, but eventually your eyes accustom to having less eye makeup and a bright mouth. do you like the appearance of Dior New Look? I've been leering it at for some time.

Generally, my routine is pretty regularly only mascara and a bright lip, with a little something sheer and dewy on my face. I suppose I've always liked the way mascara really opens up my eyes and makes me look a little more awake. That said, I still bemoan the removal process, so occasionally I go without and wear just a bright lip. I think I'm just attached to mascara, but I've been trying to get into going without more by really taking great care of my skin and experimenting with ways to dress my eyes up without mascara - like using a mix of bronze and blushy shadow on my eye for evening with a red mouth.

....And, I like the way Dior New Look comes off for day - it's very smart looking, and gives a lot of length. It's not a super volume-builder, but I kind of like that. It is also NOT good for bottom lashes. I love Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara for those bottom lashes and for night.

Ya'll should try Kevyn Aucoin's mascara. It comes off easily, no black stain under your eyes. It actually comes off in tubes when you wash your face. It is the best mascara I've ever used, lengthens and fattens my lashes.
