The boy (bands) are back! Yes, news broke yesterday that New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, and Boyz II Men are hitting the road this summer on a group tour, in what will likely be known as One of the Greatest Things to Ever Happen (To Them? To Us?). At the Gloffice, we seized the opportunity to rock out to some sweet boy-band jams and reminisce not only about the music but also the important hair trends of the late-80s, 90s, and early 2000s: fades, feathering, flat-tops, middle-parts, bleached tips, bowl cuts, strategic front spikes, etc, etc. (For his part, Nick has a distinct memory of walking into the Astor Place barber shop at six years old, clutching an inspiration picture of NKOTB's fluffy-haired Jordan Knight for the barber.)
In the words of Boyz II Men, "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday..." but thanks to our new summer concert plans (and this slideshow), we don't have to bid adieu quite yet.
